  1. That didn't take long. F the big 12.
  2. Any way the TX game starts on FS1 or some shit?
  3. I mean, cool and all but I want to watch Texas
  4. FWIW, I have YouTubeTV. I use a Roku w/ the ESPN app via a Disney acct. Right now I can get all ESPN+ channels but am blocked from LHN.
  5. Shocked that a Butch Jones team doesn't know wtf it's doing.
  6. Yep. It's weird. I have YouTubeTV, but stream ESPN+ via my Disney account. As of last night, all the ESPN+ channels were working except LHN.
  7. "Who'd you pick Desmond? AtM?" And they all start laughing.
  8. At HS game. Why'd Scherzer get pulled w/ a one hitter? Pitch limit?
  9. Partial crisis averted. I thought tomorrow's game was on LHN.
  10. The fuck? I have YouTubeTV, so my regular channels are fine. I use Spectrum for internet. ESPN+ seems to work fine; however, LHN is blocked. WTF?
  11. Good luck @Nueces River Rat. I appreciate the perspective. Sometimes I get caught up in the stupidest of shit (recruiting) and need to be reminded that there are bigger things in play for some. I hope everything works out. Keep us posted.
  12. I'm sure you've seen Open Water. I believe there was a second one. I'm not a fan of slasher movies, ghosts (unless there's some kind of twist i.e. The Others), or 95% of what applies to horror movies these days. Get off my lawn! I do like movies like Open Water. I think I mentioned this a few pages back, but there was a entire sub-genre of "what would you do?" type movies about 10 years ago. One was called Frozen and had teens trapped on a ski lift. To name a couple more - Break, folks stuck on a tram, Scenic Route (I think), teens stranded in a desert, 247 F, group of friends locked in a sauna. I'm looking forward to seeing the new one with the girls trapped on top of a cell tower or somesuch. I'm also a fan of the Ari Aster movies. I mean, F's sake, the car scene in Heredity and/or the old couple in Midsommar. Still somewhat haunted by those. Looks like he has a new one called, Beau Is Afraid. I somehow missed this news.
  13. A bust that couldn't hack it at Texas during a time when the oline was a mostly untalented, dumpster fire.
  14. Good point re: the free valet. Like everything else on this thread, I suppose that's the route we're going. Nothing is ever free, just shifted.
  15. Dammit. Now I have that song in my head.
  16. Unless you count Dreamscape, I didn't see a single scary/horror movie until college. Weird upbringing. My parents were not religious at all but didn't drink or watch R rated movies so... I didn't either. Anyway, I ended up watching The Shining at a house on West Campus, then had to get the nerve to walk back to Jester, down the long hallways, to my room. It was unpleasant.
  17. Well, if any team in history were to accomplish this, it'd be the Rangers.
  18. Some movies have to be seen when you're still young. As you get older and more cynical, the magic disappears. This was my favorite movie the first 15 years of life. Happy to say, even age doesn't ruin this ending for me. Start at about 5 mins.
  19. The worst thing about Knock at the Cabin is that one could have easily come up with a twist given the story and buildup.
  20. To be honest, I was taking my wife downtown for her birthday a couple of weeks ago. I knew ahead of time that we'd be using a valet. I looked up how to tip a valet. It was some weird formula like $5 at dropoff, then 20% of the parking fee or somesuch. As one who relied on tips for several years while putting my wife and I through college, I'd rather err on the side of tipping too much or too often over accidentally stiffing someone. We can afford it. It's no big deal.
  21. Well my non 1% ass just found out that you're supposed to tip both when you drop the car off and when you pick it up from a valet. At least that's what the googles said. I've always just tipped picking it up.
  22. Whelp. I guess Garland isn't winning state. Lost to a 5A team 38-2 today. Granted, it's a good 5A team but something about -9 yards of total offense going into the half doesn't bode well.
  23. That's been the running joke in my family since the 80's. My father believes the Texas heat would eventually wear down even the greatest of Rangers teams by Sept. I'm not sure what the excuse is supposed to be with a roof.
