  1. Blake with the voice of reason. Nobody can grasp that Quinn is gone in 2 seasons, and Arch isn't picking a school demanding to start as a true freshman.
  2. I live my life a quarter mile at a time.
  3. Can't disagree. We booked totally ignorant of the issue. It didn't ruin it for us, but it certainly makes me regret for paying for a beach resort with no beach. I'll definitely spend a few minutes researching next time.
  4. What is he hitting him with? I don't know what anyone would expect to be within reach of a mail slot. Plus that scenario would be my GSD wet dream of a scenario. A lot of risk and almost no reward possibilities with that tactic.
  5. I didn't realize that shit doesn't even biodegrade. What a pain in the ass. They had a tractor running all day our first day but even then all that did was make the beach walkable in the afternoon. The water was still was unswimmable.
  6. Just got back from Playa this past Friday. The sargassum is horrible. Talked to a couple that ferried over to Cozumel for the day and they said it was just as bad on that side as well. Like the poster said above plan on doing the cenotes or inlet parks if you want nice clear water.
  7. So we haven't actually won it yet? Thank God, there is still hope.
  8. You don't get it. Runner up is fine and appreciated, but winning it is over the line.
  9. He picks up a nursing shift every other week, so yeah.
  10. 13? I don't think I'd call that a yacht.
  11. We did one about 10 years ago and got rid of a bunch of baby toys and clothes. Those things sell fast and quick. Nothing big so it wasn't too difficult. But now we just post on a neighborhood marketplace site and someone will pick it up fast unless it's total junk. I can't imagine accumulating enough stuff to warrant a garage sale these days.
  12. I go to the office because I like browsing surly on the bigger monitors I have there. That to me is worth the commute.
  13. Link I have this Frigidaire, but I paid like $130 for it a year or so ago. I probably wouldn't recommend at this price though. It produces nicer (clearer) ice than the cheaper ones but it's also slower to produce and you have to break down the ice because it freezes as a sheet of cubes rather than individual. At the time this was the cheapest non bullet shape iced maker I could find. That still may be the case. I didn't really like the look of the bullet ice most countertop ice makers produce, but those will produce ice faster than this model. Ice is ice, but the clear cubes look more appealing when I am staring at my brown drink. Unless that's important to you I'd just go with a top selling bullet maker on amazon. I think the build quality on those are likely all the same you just start spending more money as the ice gets prettier.
  14. Mine is French door but it's door mount ice maker. I don't have any need for a garage fridge, so I don't really have anywhere to put this to pasture while still getting some use out of it.
  15. I'd agree. Especially this just being a 30 minute show with 8 episode season. People pretend like there time is worth a lot all the time but they know it's not. I waste more than 30 minutes a week just staring into blank space.
  16. I don't think he tried very hard. It was pretty transparent imo, but I agree the resentment was justifiable.
  17. 1 is the no brainer if you can swing it. Another cutting cost option is to use a countertop ice maker for the kitchen. That is what we did. I wouldn't spend money on reparing anything on that Samsung. From what I've read it's still an issue after repairs. My brother was lucky enough for his to continue to crap out under warranty and they eventually just bought it back after numerous tries to fix. Mine crapped out after the warranty, and I'm not spending a dime on that POS.
  18. Maybe I am misremembering but the last I saw of the ratings was Norm killing it even though the consensus here (myself included) is that he's unlistenable. There is obviously a disconnect somewhere between the actual ratings and avid ticket fans. Maybe we are just the vocal minority, but otherwise I can't disagree with anything you've said. Norm hasn't been listenable to me in over a decade.
  19. Norm rakes in the ad dollars. I don't get it either, but Norm is the ratings driver on the show not Mike.
  20. It's always been a dumb argument. It's as if people don't realize that the fair runs for weeks and lets thousands upon thousands of people out every night.
