  1. Agree and this aint Meyer's first rodeo. He's basically been the second most high profile coach of this generation. The idea that Mack could say something that gives him pause about this job is a stretch. He knows exactly what's involved with big time college football.
  2. No one with any power is mulling over the decision to hire Urban. Offers have been made that will reset the entire coaching salary market. It's up to Urban at this point.
  3. I agree there he's just collecting a paycheck and hanging around, but it's still qualifies them to say leaving. As far as why they care so much about that I don't know. I doubt OU fans would care if Stoops coached somewhere else unless it was a rival.
  4. Relax it’s just another day at the office for him.
  5. The fisting is the cake. Landing Urban is just the icing.
  6. I agree as to the absolute lack of focus and leadership on this team. That's on the HC and we are hopefully rectifying that, but has been a problem for everyone of our teams since 2010, not just 2020. If the protests didn't happen, this team would still have a lack of leadership and focus.
  7. I meant down the list as to why we suck? If Floyd never happened would this team beat TCU, OU, or ISU?
  8. This team is mediocre just like they've been Herman's entire tenure. The protests distractions are a new variable for 2020 only. I am sure they didn't help anything, but they are way down the list on problems with the program.
  9. Exactly it doesn't have to be Meyer. We bought out Mack/Charlie and soon to be Herman. Our failure isn't for lack of trying.
  10. Stephen is the guy that masterminded the zeke deal. He's just as delusional as daddy.
  11. How does a recruiting coordinator opt out?
  12. Which board do all the level headed surlyites post on?
  13. CDC is good, but I doubt he snuck a can't suck at coaching clause past Tom or his agent. He ain't mensa for nothing.
  14. It's not like this is a slippery slope. The trend starts and stops with what the NFL allows. They clearly don't care much about Alamo Bowl or vs Kansas film, but I bet they'd care about big time games. Good tape against other elite players definitely helps your draft stock, and outside of maybe consensus top QB opting out of those games would be a major red flag. The NFL isn't charading around as an amateur production like college football, so they are better equipped for their players making business decisions, but they don't like it either.
  15. So UT is going to be the program that this happens to first?
  16. I can't imagine Kohls taking a bath like that over something that stupid. That's a lot of $ for a product that 99% of the orders already expect it to be cancelled anyways.
  17. Sam's career is almost over. Why are you harping on 1 game as if we don't have enough data. Your point that Sam is injured and it is affecting his play is valid, but irrelevant because he's always banged up at that point there is not difference between him sucking because of injuries or because of talent. The end result is the same to us bad qb play.
  18. What's the difference between a bad QB play due to injuries vs talent in your mind? Is one better than the other if the player is always banged up?
  19. Dropping 40lbs in 3 months isn't that long. It could happen faster theoretically going hardcore though, but I wouldn't expect that just anyone could flip that switch.
  20. No doubt. Ossai will be the best player Herman produced at Texas. Where does Ossai rank on players Herman has landed? I know ranking across different classes gets into a very subjective area, but even within his on class the rankings says he was the 14th best player in that class. My point being we are missing a ton of development on those top 100 guys.
