  1. no idea, haven't kept up since I switched over to toyota trucks. Even if they have the same chasis, the C's will have cheaper components and plastic instead of metal in various places.
  2. I'd stick with the E class, the C class stuff always seems cheap and breakable. I've had E63's but the E300/350's I've ridden in have always been nice and seemed to have plenty of power. I drove Ima's 2019 E63 AMG station wagon and it's fucking insane. Probably the fastest car I've ever driven.
  3. yeah, discovered that when messing with the space heater during the freeze. There's still a bar going across that makes it a pain to do anything. Two torn disks makes everything a pain.
  4. Yeah, I was thinking about doing that or just backing the trailer into the lake but I'd rather have someone who knows what their doing do it and give a good once over over all the electrical and other systems. Also I'm fat and lazy and have a bad back and it takes a contortionist to do anything to this engine.
  5. Had the impeller changed about a year ago and have put around 50 hours since then. How often should I change it? I've seen anywhere from every 50 to 150 hours.
  6. Not sure which was worse, being in a sinking boat or dragging the boat from Westlake to round rock in rush hour traffic
  7. Had an exciting time on the lake yesterday. Boat seemed a little sluggish heading to the bridge, and the bilge pump kept coming on. Checked and there was an inch or two of water in there but didn't seem to be too bad. On the way back the boat got very slow, the bilge pump wouldn't come on and there was >6 inches of water in the blige. Made it back to the dock at 8mph and looked down and the center floor bilge access door had water coming out and the water was hot as hell. Got the people off the boat, told my kid to tell the guys on the dock we're sinking and can we skip the line to get our boat out. Guy took my keys and backed the FJ up and we got the boat on the trailer by hand. Opened up the drain and a firehose like stream came out. Waited 5 minutes and it was still going so said fuck it and drove home. Got home and it was still draining and left a nice trail down the street and put a few inches of water in the ditch in front of my house. Based on reading up the Malibu forums it's probably a leak in a water hose on the engine based on how hot the water is. Going to drag it up to malibu in RR and kiss another $k or two goodbye.
  8. There's one little pocket of white people just south of downtown. One of my sister's friends in college was as white as wonder bread and I just about spit out my drink when she told me she went to SOC.
  9. I hope Bob Cole gets throat aids and can't talk.
  10. haha my wife does that too. Super annoying when it's something I'm pretty knowledgeable about and she argues about it. "My computer is slow, I need a bigger hard drive" "My back tire is flat, is it because you got me a new battery?"
  11. Not sure if wife just doesn't listen to my answers to her questions, or has the questions queued up in her head so my response doesn't matter or what but she is the queen of asking questions that were answered or can be assumed by a previous response. Wife: What are you doing? Me: Putting the license plates on the truck Wife: Did you get them already? Me: How would I install them if I didn't have them?
  12. Was thinking the same. Would work especially well for Vandergrift game.
  13. damn. DD and I agree on something. Bankruptcy would fix this fast.
  14. Yes, no book discussion of any kind here, there's a thread for people that read the book. If you are a book reader and someone is predicting shit that is obviously from the books please let me know.
  15. Fuck I'm good, just ask me. And ima is a fat mexican.
  16. Very similar to when shaggy started and all the assholes left hornfans and came over.
  17. I'm fine with the forgiveness, I feel bad for the people who have recently paid off loans, anyone currently in school that has paid out of pocket and hasn't taken a loan out yet and people entering college this fall. I really dislike government programs that are a one time thing like this. Either make it a regular thing or don't do it at all. I do wish this was tied more to the overall cause of the increase in tuition. I think the end result of this is the graph above having a spike in it as more money is going in the pot for current students. When I was at UT in the late 80's it was pretty hard to get a student loan. After getting out of the Navy in 95 it seemed like they were giving out loans like candy. More money/easier loans -> schools figure they can raise tuition -> kids get more loans and the viscous cycle continues. Either make loans harder to get or allow them to be discharged by bankruptcy and I think the graph above would level out or go down.
  18. I did, about 10 posts before yours
  19. 11yo shows me pyramid shaped thing he got on a trip: "It's like the holocaust from star wars" me "not sure there was a holocaust in star wars" 11yo "holocron?" me "yes, holocron"
  20. haha, yes, public boat ramps have some weirdos. Luckily my hood has it's own private ramp so most of the people are just a little nuts, not full blown psychos.
