  1. Fong has an article with quotes from Terry. I can't read anything but the headline but it sounds like it's positive for us.
  2. I don't get this. Doesn't every coach essentially lead recruits into believing that he (the coach) can get the recruit to the NFL? The whole thing is predicated on that idea. Also, what would you rather be, a former player who doesn't make it the NFL or a former player who doesn't make it to the NFL but drove a Lambo in college? This isn't rocket science.
  3. Fortunately, I speak jive and am fluent in Horn4Life, having been exposed to his rarefied dialect since the Hornfans days. I BELIEVE that he's saying that he heard that one of the recruits we're trying to get to come to Austin got arrested on the Comal river today. My guess is that he got arrested for coming to the aid of the other recruit, who was either drunk or maybe committing some minor infraction (not clear). Horn4life guesses that, if the recruit who got arrested had been white, he gets off scott free. Right before this happened, he'd heard that we had two silent commits. We would all be extremely happy with what Horn4Life heard regarding the commits in question right before the shit on the Comal went down.
  4. Whooosh! You made the exact same point that I --- using sarcasm ---- made to the Vol dumbass, which makes your comment that I missed the point I was trying to make doubly funny. I put "Wreckless" in quotation marks followed with a question mark, and then asked, using IRONY, why a parent would WANT his kid to wreck. When I tweeted it I thought it might go over the head of the Vol dumbass because he might not have realized that he misspelled "reckless" or understood how that misspelling made it an unintentional pun, but I didn't think it would go over the head of a fellow Longhorn.
  5. Tennessee fans are some dumb fuckers. Here's a Vol fan's response to Shannon Terry's tweet, and my response to that response.
  6. I mean, let's deconstruct this: Either 1) the God who created the universe is omnipotent or 2) he is not. If 1) is true, then god's vision for humanity certainly includes Gay people. Were it not to include gay people, he wouldn't have created gay people, or the impulse that causes people to be gay. If 2) is true, who gives a fuck what God's vision for humanity is?
  7. No shit. Whenever somebody claims to know what God wants, you know you're in trouble.
  8. I thought she WAS Alabama.
  9. Giuliani's ears have grown a little bit.
  10. Here's another example. They came for Dolly.
  11. Maybe he just likes doing colonoscopy cleanses. I thought the whole point of Surlyhorns was no kink shaming.
  12. I am not kidding. This is 100% true. The girl in the middle just won Miss Alabama.

  14. I feel bad for laughing.
  15. I would do very sexual consensual things with Jo Jo from Jerz.
  16. Maybe he mistook the giant clam for his wife. I could see this happening.
  17. Fudd's isn't gone. There's one on Slaughter in Austin.
  18. Holy fuck. She had a dream job. All she had to do was be normal, look pretty, show up at ribbon-cutting ceremonies, talk about how much she loves and respects veterans etc ..... She had one job. ONE. But she was too stupid to do it.
  19. The folks behind "2000 Mules" have withdrawn the film and issued an apology to the voters it slandered. They were also forced to pay a significant amount to Mark Andrews, a voter from Georgia who they falsely depicted as illegally voting. "The conservative media company behind the book and film “2,000 Mules,” which alleged a widespread conspiracy by Democrats to steal the 2020 election and was embraced by former President Donald Trump, has issued an apology and said it would halt distribution of the film and remove both the film and book from its platforms. In a statement posted to their website, Salem Media Group, Inc. apologized specifically to Mark Andrews, a voter from Georgia falsely depicted illegally voting in “2,000 Mules.” The Georgia Bureau of Investigation cleared Andrews of wrongdoing, and found he was legally dropping off ballots for members of his family. Andrews filed a defamation lawsuit against Salem, as well as the team behind the movie: right wing commentator Dinesh D’Souza, and the group True the Vote. Though “2,000 Mules” has been widely debunked by law enforcement officials and the media, including NPR, the film and book developed a widespread following among supporters of the false claim that the 2020 election was stolen." https://www.npr.org/2024/05/31/g-s1-2298/publisher-of-2000-mules-election-conspiracy-theory-film-issues-apology
  20. "All I ask is that you consider voting for a presidential candidate who can legally travel to Canada and the UK." ---- Jason Isbell
  21. Multiple witnesses in criminal cases against former President Donald Trump have reportedly received significant financial benefits from his businesses and campaign, including large raises, severance packages, new jobs, and shares and cash from Trump's media company. The timing of these benefits often coincided with critical moments in the legal proceedings, raising concerns about potential witness tampering. Trump's legal team attempted to suppress the story with a cease-and-desist letter to ProPublica, which published the report despite the threat. https://www.propublica.org/article/donald-trump-criminal-cases-witnesses-financial-benefits
