  1. Accusations of “Allegiance-based” mudslinging and “not pledging fealty to a team” from the guy spinning himself in circles defending non-”biz/financing” related positions from Musk. Being a stereotype must be fun.
  2. I don’t understand what you are asking. Musk’s holding company agreed to pay $X per share, and that’s what the shareholders get, nothing more nothing less regardless of Twitter’s cash balance, working capital or debt. Some of that $X is funded with equity capital coming from Musk (more or less), some of it is coming from new debt put on twitter’s balance sheet.
  3. The debt is classic LBO debt that will go on the company’s balance sheet secured by its assets. Nothing more nothing less. Supposedly Musk borrowed cash separately to fund part of his equity, which may have been secured by Tesla shares, but that’s not Twitter debt.
  4. What? There is no purchase price adjustment in a public deal. The per share price is the per share price. The poster you are responding to is lambasting the LBO construct. Middle school indeed.
  5. At least you got that bubble *championship* out of it.
  6. I very rarely go to the cloak room outside of right before a presidential election, but I agree that the current ad structure dramatically decreases the likelihood I would click on that forum (maybe that’s the entire point and I should be thanking you!) It’s like visiting a sketch porn sight in 2005.
  7. Correct. He's a pretty boy and a whiner extraordinaire, but supposedly brings it in the trash talk category. No doubt Booker was cooking last night and is a better player than Klay at this point in their careers. But Klay is one of the greatest shooters of all time and has delivered time and time again on the biggest stage, so I think it's fair for him to drop the 4 rings card on Booker.
  8. Booker is a legendary trash talker. I’m sure he said nothing to provoke that response from a guy who has never been ejected in his career.
  9. I’m sure we’d take Harris in a heartbeat. Seems like maybe he could cover someone on third down.
  10. The Invitation (2015) is one of my favorite movies of the last 10 years.
  11. Just wait until Quentin Johnston's 8th third and long first down reception on November 12. That should be a fun stroll down Tom Herman memory lane.
  12. I’ll watch this. Tremendous book. As an aside, I think a great reading path for WW1 is The War That Ended Peace (followed by The Dreadnought if you can stomach the overlap) > Guns of August > All Quiet On The Western Front (the flavor of trench warfare without the tedious monotony of the non-fiction tellings) > Paris 1919
  13. That album came out a month before my sophomore year at UT. Felt like that song was playing everywhere around Austin that year.
  14. It’ll probably be like that all season until Rudy gets played off the floor in a crushing second round defeat.
  15. Conner is a true Sophomore who was a 3 star recruit with a .88 composite ranking. Cole Hutson was just a smidge higher in the composite at .89, but of course is a true Freshman. It's kind of the opposite of surprising that those two are our worst lineman, IT bull shit notwithstanding. Agree with you that Jones' level of play is shocking.
  16. None of that changes the fact that we are recruiting at a much higher level on offense than defense, which was the original point. .91 is fine if you want to set a modest floor for your defense, with a chance to be a good defense with the right coaching and hitting on a few guys. Maybe guys like Mitchell and Burrell out perform their rankings, but relying on that outcome almost across the board (outside of Williams and Muhammad in the 23 class) isn’t ideal, particularly when we appear to have glaring coaching deficiencies on that side of the ball.
  17. I mean he’s not wrong, and the same thing happened to us this past offseason and I’m sure it will happen again. It’s the new landscape.
  18. I thought Wiseman looked pretty good last night considering it was his first NBA game in over a year. It's insane how much young talent the Warriors have accumulated while still winning 4 out of the last 8 championships.
  19. Ah, that it explains it. When I lived nearby in the UWS 8 years ago I was probably still ordering the house wine! Edit to add: If you can squeeze in another meal, consider Ko. A friend of mine is the Sommelier there, and she just won New York Sommelier of the year by Michelin. Her tasting menu is always super interesting and delicious. And the great food doesn’t hurt.
  20. Damn, well done. Nice Matin is just ok IMO, but every other place you listed is A+. Compagnie is in my regular rotation.
