  1. Thanks for the memories Verne
  2. If he hasn't he's a fucking saint because there is at least once every morning livestream that one of their posters asks a question or makes a remark that would make me spout off.
  3. It sure would be funny if Wiegman decided to portal
  4. Pretty good podcast from Lewin and Nathan Johnson about the future of the grid. About an hour but pretty interesting and somewhat promising. Johnson seems like a smart guy. Here's the lede. Following Winter Storm Uri, the Texas legislature worked to identify proposals that can increase the reliability of the ERCOT grid. In this week’s episode, State Senator Nathan Johnson, representing Senate District 16 in Dallas and a member of the Business and Commerce Committee overseeing ERCOT and the PUC, shares insights into the proposals that are reshaping Texas energy policy. Central to Senator Johnson's efforts is the establishment of a fund aimed at creating microgrids at crucial facilities such as hospitals and police stations. This initiative, now part of the Texas Energy Fund via Senate Bill 2627, secured nearly $2 billion to bolster microgrid infrastructure after receiving approval from Texas voters in a constitutional amendment. Moreover, Senate Bill 1699, spearheaded by Senator Johnson, formalizes the collaboration between the Public Utility Commission and various stakeholders to implement virtual power plants and aggregated distributed energy resources programs, while also mandating the commission to enact measures for reducing residential energy consumption. Beyond legislative achievements, the conversation delves into pressing topics such as transmission policy, the evolving dynamics between fossil fuels and renewables, the imperative for innovative regulatory frameworks and incentives for utilities, and the pivotal role of energy efficiency in shaping Texas' energy landscape. https://castbox.fm/vb/691715803
  5. Man I wish Norm was still alive.
  6. Ffrench seems like a long shot. I'm not sure I recall a win vs Hartline on WR he wanted. I know that Mater Dei and SoCal is important to the staff so maybe that's the reason they seem to like Harris so much. I know he's a good player but I wouldn't bend over backwards on that one. Give me 3. Johnson, Lockett and Moore. Honestly, I'm fine with 2, considering our prowess in the portal.
  7. During the tea scene I was like goddamn. She fucking hates Buntaro. I love a good grudge.
  8. I look forward to you making a thread about this tomorrow
  9. My wife's best friend is a wonderful person. Kind, caring, volunteers for good causes like helping immigrants. Be there for you in a heartbeat. I love her. She married a MAGA. I don't know why. We were concerned. Recently she and my wife were talking on the phone and she mentioned for Trump in a primary. My wife and I were horrified. My wife tried to talk to her but she wasn't having it. Said the economy was bad. My wife tried to explain the issues with women's rights and her trying to have a baby. The possible consequences of her vote to her and other women. No dice. My wife is devastated as am I. We're just sad. I told her it was only going to get worse. It honestly feels a little bit like a death in the family.
  10. Yep. I'd go for a season of him and Blackthorne going around the empire solving crimes.
  11. Release the kompromat you coward.
