  1. Clickty clackty my man. Gerry was pretty steadfast that if a recruit didn’t visit during the season, Texas had no shot. He was mostly correct.
  2. So basically The Day of the Jackal.
  3. Fasusi would have been nice, but what matters is that aggy didn’t sign Fasusi and Rogers. They can’t rebuild their OL in a single class now.
  4. It sounds like 9 months severance, and the equivalent of 2 annual bonuses in a lump sum seems to be the going rate. Not bad, not great, but if those folks can find another job quickly it’s a nice chunk of change.’
  5. Based on the pictures, that’s a straight up assassination. Suspect is seen in a textbook firing stance. This wasn’t a mugging.
  6. PSA that Scott Schrader at WeAreSC is a regard. Go back and look at his official visit articles. He wrote they were getting every Georgia recruits. Sharma might flip, but don’t panic because of a Schrader post.
  7. Long arms/wingspan, and big hands. This is borderline erotic to Gerry Hamilton.
  8. Sounds great, but Rip is going to make spurs.
  9. I wish they did a better job of explaining The Water of Life. Basically, a fully trained Reverend Mother is in such complete control of her body that she can break down the poison at molecular level so it doesn’t kill her during the ordeal. The imagery sucks. Not at all what’s described in the books. It’s not some scary ghost ladies overwhelming the participant. During the ordeal, they experience the memories of every reverend mother that has ever lived and they can look back into time. It’s trippy, not terrifying. I’m not sure why DV or Prophecy depicts it this way. You need a director like David Lynch to get it right on film. I agree the posters above. The 3rd episode was the best. This probably should have been the pilot. Also, I know my posts sound like I’m not enjoying the show. I am. There are just a few things they can do better.
  10. Just waiting for the college thots expert to reappear.
  11. No notes on Sheridan’s choices of hot lesbians in every season.
  12. I’ve been good at work this week. Office aggy just lost his SIL, and the other longtime season ticket holder just had fucking brain surgery. Hopefully, they bounce back soon, and I can rub their noses in it.
  13. Bedenbaugh is gone, but they’ll do their damnest to fool Fasusi into signing first. Arbuckle, and especially Mateer, could tell Venables they want Mateer’s dad to be the OU OL Coach and he’d have to eat shit on it.
  14. Hate watching at this point. My last hope is that Beth dies onscreen.
  15. Is Connor Stallions a candidate?
  16. As the thread has pointed out, Mateer is head and shoulders above anything OU has or has incoming.
  17. There’s nothing the LSU mods love more than spoiling a kid’s news. Sore ass losers.
  18. I don’t get the politics on this show. I thought the entire purpose of the Imperium was to : - Keep the spice flowing. - Balance the Great Houses so one house doesn’t become so powerful they can take on the emperor. - Keep the Great Houses separate and apart so they can’t gang up on the Imperium. The Harkonnens are living in exile and eating hairy whales. No family atomics or shit Glowglobes in sight. The Atreides are in good standing and living on their ancestral home world Caladan. Family atomics for days. A Harkonnen wipes out most of the Atriedes Line including the Duke and his heir and… the Imperium allows the perpetrator and her sister to join the Bene Gesserit, and their uncle and his heir to live. Imperium doctrine would dictate all of the Harkonnens be put to the sword. Maybe a plans, within plans type thing, but the Harkonnens are so low on the totem pole, that the other Great Houses would be outraged if they weren’t severely punished. And finally, the emperor is completely cool with 2 Harkonnens running the Bene Gesserit?! A house the Imperium exiled, now runs one of the most powerful and secretive organizations in the galaxy. Dafaq?! It’s completely illogical. All that said, decent to good show and I’m happy to watch more Dune.
  19. All of surly is Nathan “Nate” Esquire. I just gotta know.
  20. Initial thoughts: - Looks and feels like Star Wars. Finally. It looks terrific. Better than The Mandalorian in my opinion. - Goonies vibes are real. A lot of cool pirate stuff going on. - I love the mystery of their home planet. The undersecretary references the New Republic, but the pirates have no idea what their home world is. Feels like a top secret New Republic world tucked away in deep space just in case some bad shit happened in the known galaxy. It kind of reminds me of 3 Body Problem. If there’s something bigger and badder than you are out there, the best thing for survival is to hide and not leave your solar system/explore.
  21. Do not want. Not @Helobious good.
  22. Yup.
