  1. Probably only people who call in to the Paul Finebaum show, and aggy trying deserately to sound like they fit in.
  2. Frequently used when discussing how only the SEC plays, "Big baw football."
  3. I get irritated with people like this. He asks you for your advice, you give him very sound advice, and he responds by shitting on your advice. I would have responded by telling him that he can either voluntarily talk to a lawyer now, or he may have to talk to a lawyer later. His choice.
  4. I remember watching this as a very young child in the early 60s. Theme music still hits me. When my oldest brother enlisted in the navy in 1967, I was terrified that he was going to be killed by some kamakazi flying into his ship. Ha...little did I know, Charlie ain't got no submarines...or kamakazi.
  5. Anybody want to tell him?
  6. And it didn't matter, as Hank still got the most votes. I also remember someone constructed a larger-than-life image of Hank the Hallucination in Littlefield fountain during the campaign. It was hilarious...and you're right; nobody gave a shit about student government then, other than to mock the very concept, and I'd bet that is still the case today.
  7. JMHO, but the whole concept of student government is kind of stupid. Maybe they should hold a referendum on whether to disband student government; it happened before, make it happen again.
  8. Dfigs is a genius the same way this guy is a genius:
  9. This one may be one of the most underappreciated Westerns of all time. I love this flick:
  10. No love for Paint Your Wagon?

  12. He needs to keep upping that boot game, and get rid of those gottdamn square tip boots. Obviously, haven't gotten all of the California out of him yet.
  13. Pairing Lou Reed and Metallica?
  14. Nice area that went to shit in the 80s with the quickness. Candlelight Oaks got hood as fuck too. Yeah, that's a shame. Good thing I haven't lived there since leaving for school in '79.
  15. I had several of those bad boys and rode the bus past the headquarters often-Gayla Industries. Pride of Nawf Side H town. Inwood up to no good. Yep. Gayla HQ on Antoine, just down the street from my old neighborhood. Shout out to Candlelight Oaks.
  16. More than grumblings: https://www.newsweek.com/obituary-dad-killed-family-michael-haight-utah-1774432
  17. Another entrant in the 5.7mm club. Hopefully the ammo becomes more plentiful and less expensive.
  18. This one is kind of corny, but in a fun, escapist kind of way.
  19. Not directly an anti-communist movie, but these two scenes are classic. Early December of 1979, I was a freshman, and Patton was showing in the theater in the Union. This was shortly after the U.S. embassy in Tehran had been overrun, and the Russians had recently invaded Afghanistan. Needless to say, feelings were running strong. The theater was packed, and everyone exploded in cheers when Patton made his thoughts on the Russians known to Gen. Bedell Smith. I think everyone left the theater that night wanting to kick some commie ass.
  20. G.C. Scarborough in Houston, when I graduated in 1979 had Texas Fight as their fight song. The only things I liked about that school were that the colors were burnt orange and white, and the fight song.
  21. Didn't quite catch that...can you run it by me again?
  22. Not totally meaningless for the Lions. When sideline reporter asked Detroit HC about how the team stays motivated after they were eliminated from playoffs, he replied, "We don't want them to go either." If GB loses, they're out of the playoffs and Seattle is in.
  23. And just like that, a three point game.
