  1. Not hard to grasp at all, but it would not have been sad at all. It would have been glorious.
  2. I love this picture. I want to believe that this image still haunts BM in his dreams nightmares. The one where he's stuck running in slow motion as Poona is bearing down on him.
  3. Jesus, Mary and Joseph...these assclowns will leech on to anything in order to reflect more "honor" on themselves. The epitome of stolen honor. They are such an embarrassment to the State of Texas.
  4. I don't know if it's sad or funny that I can't tell if this is a picture of a building on aggy's campus, or the federal prison where Ms. Holmes will be spending the next decade, or so.
  5. Baby steps. If they try to diversify too quickly they go to the opposite extreme, like the Gatorade or Fitbit commercials with the 300+ lb heifers doing yoga or surfing. I prefer the ladies in your posting.
  6. Don't forget the 1982 team. They weren't runner-up in the CWS, but that team was stacked. Their season record was 59-6, with the last two of those losses coming in Omaha. Those '80s teams always seemed invincible.
  7. I don't think there was a time jump. I believe last week's episode, and most of this week's was all a fantasy inside Barry's head. That last image of Barry and Janice's dad sitting face to face was back to present time. At least, that's my theory.
  8. This is the kind of shit that keeps me coming back to Surly.
  9. A couple honest questions; 1) How many of these mass shootings are committed by 18-20 year olds?, 2) If just one 18-20 year old would be able to use a semi-automatic rifle to stop just one home invasion, armed robbery, assault, etc., would it be worth it to you?
  10. I like how JWinTX overtly admits that aggy can't compete with Texas in recruiting, resources or viewership. He probably didn't realize he was doing so, either. Fuck 'em.
  11. Photos I took from my hotel room in Sydney in 2008. I'd like to do more photography stuff, but life keeps intervening.
  12. I'm thinking the whole episode was a dream sequence. There was just enough "weirdness" about it that made it dream-like, such as standing watch outside his house from dark until dawn without moving, the interactions with his son, etc. Also, there is no way that Cousineau could have survived on his own in the wilderness for eight years, especially after having had his little accident in the previous episode, right? The man couldn't even order his own food if left alone.
  13. This was going to be my answer...this and the original Terminator. I like the evil Arnold better.
  14. Imagine being that poor fucker tagging up, thinking you're about to tie up the game, but then when you're only about 2/3 the way to home plate, the ball zips past your head..."furk!" Ha...fuck 'em.
  15. You should probably just click the link and see what it's about. (j/k)
  16. Really enjoyed the finale, especially how they showed the immediate post-trial follow-up on the main characters. Lots of fodder for a season three...assuming the show gets a season three. Please make it so.
  17. Wrong. There is at least one reason. We are not pussies like some other school that uses Texas as part of its name. And I don't like the idea of scheduling any FCS schools. I'd prefer that that kind of shitty scheduling in the SEC will stop. No need to be playing the likes of SFA, Prairie View, or McNeese St. in November...or any other month.
  18. So, it's been a week since the first two episodes aired, and no comments on this? Is anybody watching, or watched and were underwhelmed. I finally got around to watching yesterday, and thought the first two were a much better start than last year. They look to be setting up story lines exploring unexpected consequences. Not great, but solid episodes, and I look forward to seeing how the season plays out.
  19. Just leaving this here: https://www.firstpost.com/explainers/chinas-stabbing-problem-why-are-mass-knife-attacks-so-common-11012101.html https://www.nbcnews.com/news/world/33-dead-130-injured-china-knife-wielding-spree-n41966
  20. FIFY. Generalized name calling is easy. That being said, back before I retired, I had to qualify to carry firearms, and the main point of emphasis in the training, in addition to the basic firearms safety rules regarding treating all firearms as if they are loaded, keeping firearm pointed in a safe direction, keeping finger off the trigger until ready to fire, etc., was that you do NOT use lethal force unless you believe your life, or the life of someone around you, is in IMMINENT danger; "imminent" being the key word. That means you do not shoot someone through your front door because they rang your doorbell in the middle of the night, you do not shoot someone in a car that is in the process of turning around in your driveway, and you do not shoot someone who is running away from you after stealing some cash from your store. If the thief was armed, it might be a different story.
  21. Matthew? Is he the brother of Daniel Figurelli, the racist POS who lost an internship at PWC because he was sending racist tweets at high school football recruits?
  22. He'll probably be disappointed by what he finds in NYC. It's changed a bit in 8 years also.
  23. VC capitalists? Charlie don't surf...nor does he do capitalism
  24. Not true. I've had a Ruger 57 for a couple years, and never had a problem with it. Sweet shooter.
