  1. I was at that show. With Slim on guitar, right? Such a great show.
  2. Surly rejoice! Some guys will never leave home now...
  3. I haven't seen it yet, but I'm looking forward to seeing this movie Abigail. I hate the fact that the trailers and even the movie poster gives the plot away. The reviewers have said if you didn't know going into it, you would be wondering up until halfway through the movie what the hell's going on. Now granted, the twist is pretty obvious, but it would still be fun to figure out. It's getting pretty good reviews. So if you like horror movies and you don't know a thing about Abigail, I suggest you don't look up the trailer or anything about it and just go see it.
  4. Greatest Hits Really well done movie. It's refreshing to see a movie that isn't made for morons. I've been watching so many Netflix/Prime movies where everything needs to be spelled out with exhaustive expositional dialogue. Hell even theatrical releases to this. This movie just lets things unfold and lets you figure out what's going on. I'm probably overrating it for this reason. But it was an enjoyable movie. Lucy Boynton can act and is easy on the eyes too.
  5. I just started playing this on my steam deck. As soon as the fat character opened his mouth I knew it was this guy from breaking bad.
  6. I have, thanks. I've also been listening to her podcast. She seems to be the only channel on YouTube teaching this language, unlike other languages that have countless channels.
  7. I have no choice. But I'm stoked because I just found out that there are luxembourgish dubs of The Simpsons out there somewhere. Now if I could only get access to some of those episodes.
  8. Within the next couple of years, I need to get to a conversational fluency in luxembourgish. Why? It's a long, uninteresting story but it's a necessity. But I have to devote time and resources to learning a language that is so infrequently used that even people in Luxembourg don't use it. As of right now there is a grand total of one show on Netflix that uses luxembourgish.
  9. Anyone But You Sydney Sweeney cannot act. She says her lines like she doesn't understand half the words. And it's the most unfunny romantic "comedy" I've ever seen. Human beings don't act this way. For example, there's a scene where there's a fire and someone takes off her dress and uses it to put it out. Seriously, WTF? And is that supposed to be funny? However, Syd's tits are fantastic. 10 out of 10. Best movie of the year.
  10. I lasted until Kingpin showed up and he was all like... And I was out.
  11. Rebel Moon Really, really terrible. WTF happened to Z. Snyder?
  12. Teacher of the Year appears at 0:49 to get the situation under control
  13. Just your average night in DC
  14. The wife and I are just starting to talk about potential places to be spending our winters, possibly buying a place. Buenos Aires came up. This thread is giving me pause. Buenos Aires seems like fun, but I'm not particularly a fan of getting pistol whipped.
  15. I got to witness Elvin Jones's final performance. He was pretty awesome.
  16. Watching it right now. I'm cringing so hard every time Connor shows his stupid fucking face.
  17. Some spoilery thoughts
  18. The movie was terrific. Rebecca Ferguson seems fun.
  19. You know what we used to have a lot of but have completely disappeared? Ventriloquists Where have all the ventriloquists gone?
  20. Pretty much the same band. If we're going to nitpick, Cinderella had better songs, Poison had better stage presence. CC DeVille is a pretty terrible guitarist, but I've heard "Talk Dirty to Me" with an actual good guitarist (Ritchie Kotzen) and it just didn't sound the same without CC on the verge messing up. Ritchie just didn't work with Poison. And then he went and banged the drummer's girlfriend and was kicked out of the band.
  21. Damsel with Millie Bobby Brown Can a movie get more cookie cutter than this? Every plot turn is telegraphed. Every character is predictable and paper thin. It's not so much of a story as it is a series of pivotal "moments". Everything in-between just leads up to those moments. It's not terrible. It's just lazy and forgettable. And if MBB can act, this movie doesn't showcase it.
  22. Cinderella opened the one I saw.
  23. I saw Whitney Houston, Ricky Skaggs, and David Lee Roth. Vai and Sheehan were astounding. Never seen anything like it.
