  1. What death toll would it take to reach these people? I think it has to be enough to reach their primary defense: selfishness. This isn't happening to me, therefore I don't need to act. I think it would have to be in the few percent range: 3million, 6million, something like that. It would need to get so that every little community of 1000 people would have enough deaths that everyone would know multiple people fairly close to them that died. I think you can always claim this is someone else's problem until it gets to that level. At 600,000 deaths, we are only 10-20% of the way there. I don't think sicknesses will ever move the needle. It has to be deaths. Getting sick and surviving only means these people out freedomed it, and it is a red badge of courage.
  2. that sounds like special k as much as q. q pushed him over the edge, i'm sure, but i bet it got a LOT of chemical help.
  3. I was thinking about this joke this morning, totally unrelated to this post, which I find cool, but gives me an excuse to comment on it. But here is a joke within the joke I was thinking about: why does this joke work with a large crowd? Because everyone thinks he's talking to them. You are the smart one, and you'll indicate it by laughing at the situation you're mired in. It's Emperor New Clothes-esque.
  4. Likely sequel haiku: ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha huh ah well nevertheless
  5. 8% of women, 9% of men think they could take this thing. 600 pounds of face shredding power.
  6. now the only value of the show is the fewer.gif to use on this board. went from biggest thing ever to erased from cultural relevance over night.
  7. What sucks about Anti-vaxxers is that there is real stuff that needs to be studied. But you can't say anything perceived as negative about a vaccine because you know the nutters are going to run with it as the key most important irrefutable data point.
  8. my rebuttal is that it's entitled "Red Pilled" which already means its aimed at people that are stuck at 8th grade education.

  12. Evidence suggests that testing tends to be less accurate within three days of exposure, and the best time to get tested is five to seven days after you were exposed. Tests are even more accurate when patients are exhibiting symptoms. https://nortonhealthcare.com/news/how-long-after-exposure-to-test-positive-for-covid/
  13. more likely he already had it before the vaccine. it takes a couple days to show up as positive. you gotta let that virus multiply before its detectable.
  14. Cure COVID with this one CRAZY trick! Doctors hate him (literally).
  15. you are what your record says you are / parcells
  16. No one can figure that out yet, which I think is intentional. Still isn't a hurdle for the large districts, which is nice though. 180 school days = $180,000 = cost of 1 assistant principal, (salary + accompanying cost).
  17. Contact tracing is one thing that seems too hard to do well to be very effective. We should put all our thoughts on vaccines and masks to keep the message simple.
  18. We looked into the $1000 fine thing a week ago. My thoughts regarding it is that it is intentionally laughably low. Abbott wants a headline saying that he's banning masking, so his retard base can eat it up. They are also incapable of reading past a headline. He's letting the districts do what they want and can take that grand out of the Ice Cream Fridays fund for the district. Any district that it would be even a noticeable spend (i.e., very very small districts) are full of right wing retards anyway and want mask bans. All in all I'd say it was fairly politically savvy of Abbott. He's GWB to Desantis's JEB.
  19. Amy McGrath has an interview in WaPo today.
