No, a front flanker is when it bubbles up, but you have to shift side-to-side in your chair to let it slip out the front. Which is also an effective way to blow-dry your nads.

I had some front flank downdraft yesterday, but that's because I farted while sitting in a leather chair.

The Leopards Eating Faces and Unlubed Dildo of Consequences Thread
Brisketexan replied to Horn Dog's topic in Cloak Room
You'd like to think this is the case. Requiring equal opportunity - that means "you don't screen out any candidate based on race. Evaluate all of them equally." Encouraging equal opportunity - that means that in addition to recruiting at UT, you also send recruiters to universities with larger minority and first-gen college student populations (like Prairie View, TAMU-Laredo, etc.). Doesn't mean you FAVOR any such candidate - a shitty resume from a Prairie View grad gets treated like a shitty resume from a UT grad. It DOES mean that you are expanding your search beyond your historical habits. But in Greaser Bob land, the answer is actually much closer to this: Daring to look for candidates in non-traditional places, full of minority candidates who have historically been overlooked....well, that's RACIST AGAINST WHITE DUDES. Not hiring, mind you....merely LOOKING, and trying to increase the pool beyond your existing good-old-boy network...is illegal discrimination. -

Bingo. And the cousin of that (for my folks) is "I don't even think of you as a mexican....you're like a real American," or words to that effect. Which carries with it the bold implication that the DEFAULT is if'n you have a messican name, you're not a "real American," and the burden is on you to prove otherwise. Applies to any "foreign-sounding" name/ethnicity as well. And yeah, it has ALWAYS applied to black people in America. One of the good ones, you're so well-spoken, you're a credit to your people, all that shit. But, you know, racism isn't a thing anymore, and Thatguy and I are just making shit shit up/relating things that ended in the 1950s, etc. -
"When you are accustomed to privilege, equality can feel like oppression." That doesn't mean that what's happening is fundamentally unfair. But it does mean that it sure FEELS unfair to certain groups. Again, we ignore that feeling at our peril. Because there are voices out there who are all-too-happy to tell them "yeah, it IS unfair, and you should be pissed!"
-
It means that we look backwards and (correctly) acknowledge that many groups have faced disadvantages, and thus deserve support: women, minorities, etc. That's true, and it's a good thing. But as those groups are (again, correctly) boosted up, white males - who historically had zero/minimal competition from such groups for jobs, opportunity, etc. - are in the exact same position they were before, except with now a bunch of people competing for the same jobs, resources, etc. And we have provided them no real guidance, messaging....anything. They used to "have" things -- advantages, opportunities, etc. Not necessarily as a result of a conscious choice by any of them to push anyone down, that's just the way it was. Now, they don't have nearly as many of those advantages and opportunities, because a pool of people who didn't used to compete for those things now does so. The bill of goods they were sold -- go to school, you'll get a good job, and live the American dream -- is no longer the world they live in. It takes hard work, skill, and even being exceptional to truly succeed now. Well, by mathematical definition, 50% of white males are below the median in all of those things. Those guys used to get decent jobs and such just because they were the only game in town. Now, they're getting smoked by qualified competition. And we've done NOTHING to prepare them for that situation. It's not wrong to care for the disadvantaged folks in society. Just understand that human nature will lead to the formerly advantaged folks feeling lost and left out. When I was around 8 my mom and I visited my grandparents. They were hosting my younger cousin (daughter of my druggie aunt) who, needless to say, didn't have much, and didn't have a great life. We spent the week doting on her -- taking her out to do things she wanted, buying her things (that her family never would/could get her). Finally on day 5 or so, we were shopping and I saw a cheap little plastic race car set, and asked my mom for it. She said "you can have it, but you'll need to spend your own money." It was fucking $5, it was nothing. But after a week of my cousin getting everything she wanted, I asked for one thing, and was told no. I had plenty in life. I had plenty of toys at home. But it fucking hurt, and later that evening I broke down and cried, and explained how I felt to my mom. I knew what was happening, and why, but it still hurt me, and my mom understood. White men have had plenty of toys for a long time. But when they see the direction of society turn to address others, and not them, they feel left behind. It's not a meritless feeling. And you can try to logic your way around it all day long, but feelings and emotions are real things, and don't always respond to logic. We neglect white males at our peril. Because guess what? Some other folks - like Andrew Tate - will fill the void we've left empty.

"What a stupid question! Everyone knows that marihuana makes white women listen to jazz music and be seduced by negroes! You heard the story of Mildred Johnson! One puff of reefer, and she left her family to cavort with a black saxophonist! And no, don't ask me any stupid question about how many Texans die each year from alcohol poisoning or accidents while drunk. We're here to focus on the real threats: negro men and jazz!"

Yep. Was a bit bummed to miss the match last night, but between the weather and my wife feeling lousy, was the right call. Was not fun to watch until we made our subs. Gee, Nico....have you noticed how this team gets a fire lit under them when we make our subs, like EVERY time? So, maybe don't wait until the 70th-80th minute to fucking do so?

Man, don't sleep on that outfit. Sure, it's only in gas stations....but they know what they're doing. It may have a claim to "best fast food fried chicken" out there. You heard me, I said what I said. That said.....wife and I had a LONG delay leaving Vegas on Monday (weather in Austin held us up for 4 hours). Bummer. BUT...what that meant was that I got to walk over to the C gates and get me some Popeyes for dinner before our flight. Victory from the jaws of defeat, amigos.

Tracking Trump Administration and Cabinet picks
Brisketexan replied to PenelopeWitherspoon's topic in Cloak Room
This is literally the governing principle of the Regime controlling our country right now: They reach the conclusion they want. Then find the 1% of people out there who say something consistent with that authority, and cite them as "the gold standard." What makes them "the gold standard?" Well, they're the ones who say what we want them to say. Duh. We are committing cultural suicide by stupidity, and doing it with passion and vigor. -

....but he's also the same guy who would pull over and help a black guy having car trouble. Every one of us had someone in our family or circle who was like that -- a shitty racist, voted for and even worked for overall racist policies, fought against anything that would acknowledge racism....but freely and kindly helped individuals of any race, without question. -
And in any case, is re-opened within 24 hours. That place is a magical treasure.

I kinda disagree. It's the cognitive dissonance that lives in their brains. Individual minorities, gay people etc. who they personally know? Well.....Jose is a good fella, hard worker. We aren't talking about him. And Carol...she's a sweetheart. We don't mean her. But brown people generally? THEY'RE INVADER CRIMINALS! How do they reconcile these? We've all seen it before. If you grew up in the South over the past 50 years, there is a 100% chance you've heard someone utter the phrase "oh....but not you, Jose/Tyrese/Vinh...you're one of the good ones!" It's that easy. They can be both completely and totally racist....yet compassionate and not racist as to a specific individual. And both things are absolutely true, and match human nature. It's easy to dehumanize a group, it's hard to dehumanize an individual who you know - it's a cousin of the "one death is a tragedy, a million is a statistic" phenomenon. We are filled with people who will cheerfully build death camps for "the other," then cry genuine tears when their minority friend is sent to his death there. -
How do I prepare my kids to live in (or leave) a nation in decline?
Brisketexan replied to tokamak's topic in Cloak Room
One of the administration's chief advisors has openly claimed that there are "65 million illegals" in the US. That is not true. What is true is that there are 65 million HISPANICS in the US. So, understand that this is an undeniable truth: to the current Regime, "hispanic" = "illegal." And further understand that they have made it plain that anyone the Regime decides is "illegal" has no right to due process. Due process only applies to Americans, not to illegals. No due process for illegals + All hispanics are illegals = no due process for hispanics in the US. The logical syllogism isn't a lengthy one, and it's pretty fucking direct and linear. If you are hispanic in the US and you don't have a self-defense and/or exit plan, you're a fucking fool. -

Oh…no, he didn’t mean that. Never arrest powerful white people when you can be cruel to powerless brown people instead. That rule is perhaps the closest to a religious truth in American life as you’re gonna get. We only punch down, we never, ever punch up. -
Shit, a lot of the stuff they’re showing is pretty near our casa. Drive down that stretch of Steck whenever we come back from a soccer match. Saw fire crews headed that way as I drove home. And that Shell station is where I pulled in to take my aunt’s call back to me so I could tell her my dad died. Our casa fared ok - decent amount of hail, plants took a beating, but not anything worse than that.

I have our four tickets to tonight. We were going to go with friends, wife isn't feeling well, so we're out. Message me if you want them.

Bingo. It was a hypothesis. Not a completely non-credible one. When I was younger, it made some sense to me. But here's the thing about a hypothesis: eventually, you test it. And find out if it works. And just like my hypothesis that I could get up enough speed to launch my 1977 Huffy with enough speed and loft to clear the ditch behind my house.....once I tested it....turns out the hypothesis was bullshit. And my bike also needed a new front wheel and I bled a lot. We've tested the trickle down hypothesis. Turns out, it was bullshit. Have a hypothesis. Test it. Then accept the results of your test. Sometimes the hypothesis is right. Other times, you wreck your bike and cut up your leg. But we still have its defenders, who spout shit like "true, unfettered trickle-down hasn't actually been tried yet!" Remind you of any other ideologue idiots you've heard?

No, see, read right above -- the food at Snows "isn't worth it." Just. Fucking. Stupidity. And yeah, I've been to plenty of the top-50 places, newer craft bbq, etc. I don't need to shit on any of them to also make the point that Snow's remains among the best. But if you aren't eating at one of the "top 10," you're just wasting your time.
