  1. It rained at 9 inches yesterday near my hood. It rained all day throughout the fishbowl that is Metro New Orleans. It took me two hours of waiting for standing flood water to recede off streets until I could finally make it home. That rain stuff, I wish we could give you some of ours.
  2. Glenngarry leads are weak? No.
  3. per iphone AI That gives each pope slightly over a decade, on average, to make his mark.
  4. Actually, we are not disagreeing. You look at the issue from the standpoint of members of the congregation or religion. Your view on that is entirely correct. I’m looking at it from the standpoint of those who are not members of the congregation or that religion. there appears to be universal condemnation so long as you are not one of the particular cult members. I totally agree with you that Moonies are going to Moonie
  5. This is exactly one of Putin’s policies in Russia. I think if you have a dozen children, you get a wheelbarrow full of cabbage.
  6. These two boys on bicycles came by the house and would not shut up about why I had to read some book they wanted me to read. I told them I was busy, but you’ll be sitting in the hospital for five days. Go see you.
  7. I took that to mean that while religious organizations do not meet those standards, lots of folks expect religious leaders to act more morally - even if they don’t. You even see it in criminal statues. There are harsher penalties if the exploiter is in charge of the youth that he or she molests. It’s like how I would prefer that my politicians do not get caught with a mistress. But I have a different standard if that politician is always banging the familyvalues drum. Which is not to say it’s OK to cheat on your wife if you’re not a family values Republican, it’s just not as hypocritical as when you are personally posing as a moral example to the public. I think that is what he means by saying held to a higher standard.
  8. Apparently, they are hung up on the request that the Prime Minister’s deputy dress in a Sailor Moon costume. Also, Trump insists on them serving well done Wagyu steaks at negotiation dinners, but the Japanese chefs are balking.
  9. Panic-y Trump is the most genuine Trump. All of the bad news coming in on the economy gives him some cover for the bad news coming in about the department of defense abortion. I expect some huge tantrum today to try to change the headlines to something else. Trump announces his plans to rename Greenland ‘East Virginia’, thereby balancing out the state!”
  10. In the spirit of the times, if I’m Pope Larry, I am bringing back the sale of indulgences in a bigly way
  11. I think that during the Avignon Babylonian Captivity we had three Popes at once. Maybe we could try that.
  12. China and it’s very subtle “if you do what Trump wants and it hurts China, we are going after your ass” comment might be adding to the JPow threat concern in the market. I have no idea how to parse all of this out. (yeah, that quote is not an actual quote)
  13. Flag at half mast for Pope is worth a red live update headline, unlike the thousand point Dow drop. And the libs at Forbes are just making people upset for no particular reason.
  14. Then why, when you threw a rock on J6, did it bounce off 5 ex-military guys?
  15. Someone needs to do the Aggy roller coaster: “Nobel peace prize talk”, “Biggly DJIA increase” “ Early tariff talk setback”, “Clap-on, Clap-off tariff promise” “JPow threats”
  16. Man, they are really gonna be pissed at Joe Biden in about two weeks when they finally look at their 401(k).
  17. Down 1,102. So. Much. Winning.
  18. Dow is down 888 right now
  19. I, for one, welcome our new Saurian Theological Overlords
  20. I can’t imagine any negative views about an organization that would reward and shelter Cardinal Law. Amirite??!! Just like you are one united universal Catholic Church when it’s time to get your percent of the local tithes, but when it’s time to pay the judgments for the sex abuse you just have the parish go bankrupt - because now Rome has nothing to do with those people or their finances. Seems pretty Jesus-y to me.
