  1. https://www.tradecomplianceresourcehub.com/2025/05/27/trump-2-0-tariff-tracker/ nope. All countries are being assessed a 10% tariff - unless they are country specific in which case they are probably delayed or on hold country by country. The key here is that if there is a specific country agreement, then that supersedes the 10% and we are collecting nothing.
  2. My son asked me to go to the movie with him because there are five theaters in the country showing it in 70 mm. As far as I knew, it was a new release. It is a rare day that I go to the movies, and absent sports I don’t watch much television/commercials I salute you on your perspicacity regarding coming attractions.
  3. So - the US economy is actually the Aggy roller coaster? Got it.
  4. Somebody help me out here. Trump yammering about a 50% EU tariff followed by his normal walk back for 90 days always seems to make the stock market happy. How is it good for business keeping everyone on pins and needles and not making decisions until late summer - when hopefully everyone will figure out what tariffs there are and how they work when many products contain parts from different countries? My decidedly uninformed mind keeps thinking that the longer there is uncertainty and business people can’t make plans, the worse off the economy will be in the long-term. This seems like it should be feeding a looming recession instead of a cause for stock market joy. Why is another round of no one knows what the fuck is happening a good thing?
  5. I deleted my post before either of you responded. I always hate it when work interferes with my shit posting concentration.
  6. wrong thread, not paying attention ban user
  7. God dammit, he’s keeping me from my Nobel prize!
  8. New Orleans has 100-year-old theater where Sinners was shown in 70 mm - one of five theaters in the country with that format. It was mostly filmed in and around New Orleans, so they gave us that small gift. A very interesting take on the vampire genre. Vampires, black folk, blues music and a great 1930s set. I highly recommend it.
  9. African or European softball?
  10. probably fleeing from that thick water bottle snake.
  11. Well, “hide in plain sight” may not be much of a strategy, but at least it’s a strategy. Two remain at large.
  12. I assume there is a sub Reddit
  13. So - a precocious pedo you say?
  14. If she was one of the ones molested by that Larry Nasser guy at her coaches training center in Texas, I am definitely gonna give her a pass for how she dealt with the trauma.
  15. She nailed the hair. A perfect 10.
  16. my opinion is that the answer is that there is no good answer
  17. That is all very sound and logical, but the gators are the poster child of what have you done lately? It is beyond question that we sucked in our first four SEC series to go 1-11. It is also unquestioned that we won late season series against pig and the horns and the tide. We won the series against FSU as well in non-conference play. So you could say that our sucky start should keep us out of a regional bid, because computer ratings and a .500 conference record. But what if you had an undefeated team with three shutdown pitchers who were all injured in the same car accident, and were 0-14 their last games after? Are we going to include them for an 0-2 BBQ bid because they had incredible potential at the start of the year? I dunno man. At some point, the body of work has to be tweaked by how good you are as you enter the tournament. How one does that fairly? I have no earthly idea.
  18. Don’t bad Mojo us before we get by Coastal Carolina.
  19. My uncle Donnie was a bad ass with the First Special Service Force, a.k.a., the Devils Brigade. Shrapnel from a German 88 severed his spine and almost killed him - in the army medical care tried their best also after his paralysis left him with numerous bed sores and infections. His uncle drove from Miami and kidnapped him from the hospital and brought him home - helping him stay afloat in the ocean, paddling with his arms, getting stronger and curing his bedsores. He recovered enough to get a law degree from the university of Miami and to open his own law office. But the continued health challenges from his severe war injuries led to his death a decade later. Like so many veterans, the fact that he didn’t die the same hour he was injured in battle - and survived for years after - in my mind makes him just as eligible to be honored on Memorial Day as the other veterans who gave their last measure of devotion during the war. R.I.P. Donnie
