  1. With the exception of Winston, those men are all in formal wear, when it's perfectly appropriate. Otherwise it takes a special person or look to pull it off. Churchill had it, Tucker in his business casual khakis and blazer and frat boy haircut.....did not. Codfish, indeed.
  2. Tucker Carlson wore a bow tie for most of his adult life until recently. Why would anyone assume he's going to know how to do a pocket square correctly?
  3. All right, Shady. Maybe he's right, Grady. But think about the baby before you get all crazy.
  4. Someone already did a show once about Baltimore police and drug dealers. I think it might have been on HBO, too. Hard pass.

This is so stupid and wrong and can be easily verified as wrong with even the most lazy, minimal amount of Internet research, yet people are going to watch this, believe it, and start repeating it. I don't know who the dumbest right wing media grifter is, but she has to be up there.
  6. Can we just go back and make whatever time it was a week ago permanent? It's Wednesday and I'm still tired.
  7. Remember when AMC first came out with Mad Men and Breaking Bad and people thought "Holy shit, this AMC network is going to be the next HBO as far as quality premium television"? Then AMC's creative director guy was like, "Nevermind. We're just going to make The Walking Dead forever and 100 Walking Dead spinoffs. Then we'll get the guy from 'Singled Out' to come on for 30 minutes after each episode to talk about it. Boom! Let's take lunch."
  8. No disagreement there, although I still haven't seen this new one yet so I'm not ranking Pattinson anywhere as Batman yet. But Bruce Wayne isn't supposed to be some Jack Reacher type either. I don't really have any expectations on what Bruce Wayne should look like, but I'm more than confident in Robert Pattinson's acting abilities. He definitely didn't come off as a pussy in Tenet.
  9. Which previous actors who played Batman other than maybe Bale screamed "badass"? Michael Keaton? Adam West? Val Kilmer? Pete Holmes?
  10. It certainly doesn't fit the narrative that you and conservative media try to paint that gas was dirt cheap at $2.00/gallon for four years under Trump and then sky rocketed as soon as Biden was elected because of his policies, hoping everyone will have the memories of goldfish and believe your lies. Yes, gas is expensive now. It's going to be that way for a while. It's almost like we've had a series of worldwide events affecting the price such as a post-pandemic lockdown boom in demand, an ongoing supply chain crisis, and now a war.
  11. Cool. Now zoom your graph out a few more years and quit pretending that the price of gas post Saudi-Russia price war and COVID lockdowns was normal during Trump's presidency.
  12. On the bright side, you won't burn through the show in 2 days and forget half of what you watched a week later. At least that's my experience. #teamweeklyepisodes
  13. I rewatched it three days ago when I thought I was going to see this new one over the weekend. 1989 Batman looks pretty bad now. The set and cinematography at times looks like they're filming on location at a high school play. I haven't watched Batman Forever or Batman and Robin in 20+ years either but it's hard to imagine the 1989 Batman being closer in quality to the Nolan films than those.
  14. He really is to a tee. He takes care of himself and isn't a naturally bad looking guy. But like all incels he thinks women are the problem and not that just maybe they don't want to be around some negative toxic douchebag that spends 95% of their time and energy angry at the world bitching about everything around them. Also, almost every picture he posts is shirtless. I'm sure women just love the full narcissism on display, too. But sure, Mike, you're only single because you don't drive a Bentley or have courtside tickets to the Lakers.

Ha, Athlean X is one of the few fitness guys I like to follow on Youtube. Been watching him off and on for years. I find Jeff's videos really informative, and he really breaks stuff down and explains the "why" in everything he pushes. I also really like Eugene Teo and Ryan Humiston. Those are probably my three main Youtube fitness follows.
  16. Is this your first Wes Anderson film?

Thanks to everyone who previously replied with shoulder advice. Never saw a doctor but after 3 years of pain whenever I'd lift, my shoulder feels almost perfect again. (Knock on wood). This is just personal anecdote/self-experimentation so take it with a grain of salt, but I feel like face pulls on the cable machine with the rope attachment really accelerated my healing more than anything. I had never done this exercise much in the past, but I started doing high rep (100 reps broken into x amount of sets), low weight face pulls every other workout and almost immediately my shoulder started feeling less tight and sore when I'd wake up every morning. After a month or so of this, it's felt mostly fine. I no longer have pain doing other exercises like chest presses, lateral raises, cable flies, lat pulldowns where my shoulder was bothering me before. I think I'm safely assuming now I didn't have any real damage or tears but maybe just a muscle imbalance and inflamation that was causing the pain. I'm still treading carefully and avoiding heavy push exercises, but so far so good. Edit: I should clarify I also mixed in some extended fasting, since I've heard this helps with inflammation. So I have been doing some 36-72 hr rolling water fasts periodically, which may have also helped. Not sure what helped more or if it was just time and me finally taking it easy on the heavy pushing exercises, but something worked.
  18. They've already had a new Joker outside of DCU. Frankly, is there any need to really continue on with that Justice League universe? HBO's Peacemaker is the first thing from that universe that's any good. As far as I care, it can exist independently. Is Affleck not done playing Batman? Cavill needs to hang up his cape and go play James Bond and DC should just start over and try to do better. The ones people like to pretend weren't that bad (Wonder Woman, Justice League Director's Cut, Suicide Squad 2) were all still really, really bad movies.
  19. I agree that Kelvin's storyline was crap this season with the muscle guys, but I still like his character. He was good in season 1, and I hope they give him something better to do next season. He kind of nails the trying to be hip/dorky evangelical young pastor archetype.
  20. I still liked it, but the first season was better. Season 2 felt kind of like Anchorman 2 in that the style of humor and jokes were similar, but everything was just so over the top, forced, and unfocused.
  21. He also ended the Open Skies treaty, abandoned military bases in Syria to Russia, and among other things we'll probably never know about, didn't enforce sanctions signed into law against Russia. This idea that Trump was tougher on Russia and was a deterrent against Russian aggression is a joke. Trump was doing all he could to undermine NATO. He was every authoritarian in this world's best friend and useful idiot while he couldn't even get along with our own allied leaders. He traded legitimacy to the North Korean government for empty promises that were broken within a year. Nobody saw him as a tough leader except weak minded people.
  22. I'm in episode 2. It's a fun watch so far but some of the acting is straight up bad and his tough guy shit talking one liners come off as a bit corny to me. In the first episode there's a scene where he's correcting the detective that after 12:00 midnight is technically morning and not "at night" and he comes off like a pedantic dork making an argument some 3rd grader would make just to be purposefully annoying. Yet I think that was the writers trying to make him seem clever? Yikes.
  23. He should really refrain from commenting on other's looks. Ted Cruz wasn't a great looking guy to begin with and always gave off a bit of a creepy vibe. He's now letting himself go rather quickly and is turning into a fat, hairy Grandpa Munster.
  24. Yes. It's not the main demographic, but enough of them do. Plus their segments and words still get spread around on Twitter, Facebook, and other outlets and will still end up influencing people who don't even actively watch these channels.
