  1. DFW has gotten way better even though it's mostly chains. Shake Shack, Wing Stop, the two Pappas, Salt Lick. Haven't been to Terminal B in a while but they had good sit-down options on both ends. PHL has also stepped it up, though I rarely eat there. Bud & Marilyn's is a great local place and they just opened a huge space at the front of Terminal C. There's also a Jim's Steaks in B, Geno's in B/C food court and Tony Luke's in F. So cheesesteaks are covered. Everything always seems packed in LAX, PHX and the two Chicago airports. Kansas City just says fuck it, let people starve.

    Mr. Robot

Finally caught up after literally years of trailing behind. Agree with Buzzrock's (and others) three points completely - Vela was distractingly cartoonish. Why'd he have this Hannibal-Clarise thing for getting inside Elliot's head? And the resolution is ultimately meaningless as he dies, the shrink leaves and Elliot goes back to his quest. Janice was awesome from her first scene to her last. Similar to the Vela point, the molestation angle was unnecessary and tacked on. Even during the cool scenes with the 8-year-old, it was hard to generate much empathy knowing he was going to go back after White Rose eventually. But all in all, it's been an interesting season and I'll miss the moodiness and music of the show.
  3. Brady pick 6 overturned by a legit holding call...but I really wonder when the ref reached for the flag, maybe when he saw the DB with nothing but end zone ahead of him
  4. Not enough people blaming the kicker for this loss And no one pointing out he leaked PAT to the right
  5. I'm stunned and impressed MSU coaches were sharp enough to take the penalty on the PAT, the refs would totally have just done it at the kickoff and we'd be in overtime. Usually college coaches are too panicked to catch that in the heat of the moment
  6. What an ending. Love the 2 Live Crew callback, not that the guy meant to mimic it. Worth the penalty IMO, kicker should still make that PAT
  7. Black Belt Eagle Scout free show at the Foundry Dallas on Saturday. I've recommended them before, very chill, great voice
  8. Uh, Trout being MVP isn't exactly like when the UNT QB is on Heisman watch list. Ask pitchers what they think in those "meaningless games"
  9. Also, I wonder if Herbstreit and/or ESPN will care to explain the 4-game suspension report they ran with last week
  10. NCAA / tOSU announce Young suspended again for Rutgers but reinstated for PSU What a lucky coincidence tOSU began this process just after Wisconsin and just before bye week and two games they are favored by 30+
  11. Does their stadium still have the bullpens down the foul line? That's perfect for Kapler, the relievers can get a couple extra warmup pitches when he tries to bring them in with no warning
  12. I liked what the Panthers did. When you have a player like McCaffrey, nothing wrong with being on the aggressive side of the go-for-2 chart (though they didn't use him on that play). The Eagles have a lot of decent run or pass plays to get 2's, and their defense is also pretty bad which makes it even more urgent to take the lead and get out of the stadium before OT. But I can see an offensively challenged team with a good defense (Bears e.g.) deciding to kick PATs and rely on the D to continue to set them up for conventional scores, even if that means OT is the best case.
  13. Thank you guys, great effort. I switched my pick off Indy last night, just wasn't feeling them with a brand new QB and Miami no longer in full tank mode. Still came down to Kyle Allen going 88 yards - needing 89 - in the snow at Lambeau. I've never come close to winning one of these deals before so this is sweet
  14. I suppose we could all three still lose...Dolphins lead Colts and Panthers just punched it in on GB 😮
  15. And just like that, Bayou goes down with the Saints. I'd have made that pick too if I hadn't burned N.O. earlier We could have settlement today - I have Packers and TexasGary has the Colts.
  16. They haven't faced a d-line like Auburn yet :eyeroll:
  17. Not applicable here, but CFP does give every player $2,500 for friends/family expenses to the semis and championship. I know last year Rose Bowl was not a CFP game - just pointing out it's not like players are totally shut out at the top level. I suspect tOSU knew this might take a little time, thus they get through the Wisconsin game and try to get it resolved during the bye week. NCAA being what it is, process took a little longer but they have Maryland and Rutgers coming up so who cares.
  18. I'm pretty late with this comment but the animated story for "All is Said and Done" on the Sturgill Netflix is intense. Probably derivative of a bunch of Mad Max type plots we've seen before, but the story and visuals are kept so simple as to really hit home. I really liked the whole feature, it's barely over a half-hour and blends music and action beautifully.
  19. The battle shall go on...glad I can't pick Seattle again
  20. Bayou wins the pot if Tampa upsets Seattle, otherwise all three move on for another week
  21. That's two cold turkey references in the vegan thread I used to be addicted to cold turkey, but I quit. That's right, I... (h/t Z.Galifinakis)
  22. I was up to around 5 days vegan a couple years ago and now it's more like 2-3 days, combined with more emphasis on fresh, local meat during those meals. One thing that tripped me up was going too much towards the Impossible burger or Quorn chicken nugget type meals...they tasted great but I would get bad indigestion if I went more than a couple days on those meat substitutes. Mixing those with salads, black bean bowls or other dishes helped. But honestly mixing in a normal but fresh meat dish has been the best thing.
  23. Three different picks (Saints, Rams, Vikings) and no one got clipped this week. On we go
