  1. JFC, Florida could fuck up a wet dream. That was a sure 6.
  2. Florida offense still doing what it can to keep aggy in the game.
  3. Well, if you're going to be forced to subject yourself to that much aggyness, free booze/food is a small reward but better than nothing, I suppose. Take time to occasionally remind them of the corner they painted themselves into with Jimbo. And when I say "occasionally," I mean every 7 seconds or so.
  4. Someone please tell me that it's the actual Taylor Hamm making the suggestion that they start the walk-on QB and have the BMDs bet enough on Florida to rake in enough $$ to pay JImbo's buyout. Because Jimbo would definitely allow that to happen . . .
  5. I don't think Beantown was being completely serious. He's having some fun anticipating how some (most) of the ags will rationalize keeping Jimbo around and/or how Jimbo might survive his current predicament, which would only engender even more jokes at aggy expense in the future.
  6. I get medicinal notes with OF1920, but not with the 1910, so I like the 1910 better. My next little project might be to make some 1915 in a decanter and see if I like it.
  7. Got just the filmmakers for such a grand project . . .
  8. So much gold to mine in there. Loochy's such a thin-skinned little pussy.
  9. 7 out of 7, bitches. Just sent my application in to be an MLB umpire.
  10. Listen to this man and add in "Nazi Punks Fuck Off."
  11. Never said he wasn't a good HS QB prospect. Just said that (based on seeing only one game's worth of throws) he seems to have a pretty fair amount of baseball in his football throwing motion, and it seems like he "winds up" quite a bit on deeper/longer throws. I also said there were aspects of his game last Saturday that were impressive, esp. his decisiveness. Again, it's only off of seeing one game -- not a large sample size at all.
  12. I'm seeing stuff on the internet indicating that the video I posted above was actually from October, 2020. Don't care -- it's still cool. According to this article, it's the biggest wave that's ever been surfed. Well, except for Bodhi at Bell's Beach. https://www.redbull.com/us-en/biggest-waves-surfed
  13. Thought this was cool, so I'm posting. NSIAP.
  14. Definitely agree on the mechanics. That's why CW wishes he had Max's arm -- to overcome the limitations created by the baseball-like throwing motion.
  15. Yup, I saw the same thing on long throws in particular. More of a baseball throwing motion than most QBs. Had to wind up a couple times to throw deep outs or across the field to the opposite hash. Almost seems to "push" the ball at times rather than letting it spin out naturally. Maybe it's something that can be corrected to an extent, but my guess is that mechanical tweaks will add only so much. I'm one who thinks accuracy is generally more important than "arm talent" in a QB, but at some point the need to wind up to throw the "fastball" is going to give an opposing DB an opportunity to drive on a receiver's break and make a play on the ball.
  16. Yeah, I was gonna say . . . Weigman looked good in part because his release is pretty quick and he made quick decisions. He didn't jack around and hesitate like many frosh QBs starting their first games. So in those respects, he looked good. He was also quite accurate on the majority of his short and intermediate reads. But he was helped by the fact that Ole Miss had no college film on him. Things will get tougher once opposing DCs start developing a book on him. He was also aided by the fact that he was playing at home in front of a supportive crowd. Other thoughts after seeing what I think were pretty much all of his throws: -- Although his release is quick on the shorter stuff, it looked like he really had to wind up in order to spin it deep or when he wanted to put some extra velocity on deep outs and similar routes. His arm strength doesn't appear to be top level -- certainly not up to the level of Ewers, for example. Weigman can't just flick his wrist and put the ball 20-30 yards downfield like some QBs. He has to wind up a bit, which will give opposing DBs opportunities to break on the ball. -- He got away with a handful (4 or 5) questionable decisions/throws. In other games, some of those are going to be incompletions or even picks. Stewart, for example, bailed him out more than once. For the most part, though, I thought Weigman's decisionmaking was good, esp. for a true frosh playing his first game. He seems a whole lot less jittery than King when he's in the pocket. -- As would be expected, accuracy degraded significantly on the handful of occasions when he was under pressure. -- Ability to withstand hits and take punishment is still an open question. But he doesn't strike me as being a twig waiting to be snapped like King.
  17. So the possibility that Jimbo will "go down in history as the biggest bust in [the] history of college football" is greater leverage than a contractually guaranteed $87M+ buyout. Hokay. What we have "hear" is a special kind of stupid.
  18. JFC, Weigman was absolute dead weight when his O-lineman went to help him up.
