  1. Danny might be in the Red Bull by Sunday...

    Pizza

That Friday's was Anderson High date night central when I was a kid. Movie at the Arbor 4, then Amy's ice cream and "riding on the cows." If you were a bit more poor, then you ate at Chili's at Burnet/183, and skipped the movie, went straight for Amy's ice cream.
  3. Enchilada tacos the night of. Enchilada breakfast tacos the next morning with some fresh scrambled eggs over enchilada chunks in a griddled tortilla. All quite tasty and acceptable.

Yes they're a "sell 'til it's sold out" joint. Officially, they close at 4. Stiles Switch in Cedar Park is actually good, and IMO more consistent than the original location down on N. Lamar. They're open until 8 or 8:30 depending on the day. Closed Mondays.
  5. Yeah they'll just block the view, and most likely police the traffic a heck of a lot tighter than the "staff" at COTA does...
  6. In 1988 the weedeater bowl was on 12/23 and the Sun Bowl was on 12/24. In 1987 the weedeater bowl was on 12/19 and the All American bowl was on 12/22. No other bowl games until Christmas day.
  7. Definitely. The real question is, why WOULDN'T it be a penalty? Why are they so eager to see their players do the horns-down, that they want to create a protected class of taunting that does not get called on the field, when all other taunts are called on the field? Why should this one type of taunt be exempted, just because they care so much about doing it? Such small minds.
  8. This is what's always been so silly about the "horns whining made horns-down a penalty" narrative. It's not, at least, not always. First, I'll say that I think taunting rules are silly and would be fine if they were eliminated. But as long as taunting rules exist, then they should be called equally and fairly and horns-down fits within that classification, in cases where it's clearly used as a taunt. It's no different than the throat slash gesture, or standing over a player when he's down, or the gator chomp, or whatever. If it's used as a taunt, it should be called. If it's not, then it shouldn't. There's nothing special or unique or difficult about this.
  9. I've always believed it's because John assumes his Euro-trash enemy is poorly educated in the proper terminology but he wants them to understand that he does indeed now have a fully automatic rifle weapon which he is about to use to kill all of their asses. Yippee-ki-yay, motherfucker.
  10. At the time, they released it as a summer blockbuster. They had no idea they'd created the greatest Christmas movie of all time.
  11. Juan in a Million is okay. EyM is much much better.
  12. What the hell is going on here?
  13. I know several ags that say the same thing about College Station...
  14. Also because the that front-wing was a drop-wing off a nonexistent front nose cone. Really, really ugly cars.
  15. We use our oven a lot. Biscuits at breakfast time, and things like enchiladas and lasagna for times when we're using the RV as a home-on-the-road, like camping at COTA for the USGP. It's easy to prep those ahead of time, freeze them, and just cook them when we need them at the circuit.
  16. I have a knockoff Blackstone that I use, and even if I had an onboard griddle, I think I'd probably still pack it. I like being able to move it around and set up anywhere I want on the campsite. And of course we often camp with a couple of other close friends whose families have RVs, and typically we set up a full-on "Kitchen Stadium" at one of our sites, with all of our top cooking gear in one area. We do competition cookoffs at dinner, and usually all work together to make "Big Breakfast" for the 3-5 families attending.
  17. Firefox was terrible but Barry Bostwick's Megaforce more than made up for it.
  18. I think I like them both, equally. As others have pointed out, I like the less cluttered Williams, but I prefer the blue on the McLaren. Both are beautiful, though.
  19. Well after all, I am an electrical engineer. There's a pretty high freaking probability.
  20. When Danny in the Alphatauri consistently beats Checo in the RBR, I think we'll know.
  21. I'll be wearing this shirt, that I bought last year:
  22. If Yuki "dominates" Danny, I'll do a shoey out of my 13yo son's football cleats that haven't been washed in a year. Amen, brutha!
