  1. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2023-05-16/at-t-reducing-office-locations-to-9-setting-mandatory-3-5-day-attendance-policy?in_source=embedded-checkout-banner Some folks are rattled. It will be interesting to watch.
  2. I watched 12 Angry Men on a flight this week. Not exactly breaking news but wow, what a great film. And when you keep in mind that it was made in 1957 it’s that much better. Loved it.
  3. “It’s only a hint of lemon!” Fucking great episode. Wasabi scene was hilarious and the rest was great, packed with great dialogue as ever. For those feeling triggered by it, keep in mind it’s a satire/comedy and has been reflecting back real life for four seasons. There is no altruism, even Shiv. Being anti-Mencken is convenient for her, nothing else. This show is about power and what a bunch of fucking weirdos the power-hungry are. Nothing else matters to them, not money, not family, and not the country.
  4. You will see a lot of my coworkers. Crossroads Kitchen is one of the best restaurants I’ve ever visited full stop. If no one told you it was vegan you might not know. Calamari, meatballs, and skirt steak (all vegan) were excellent. Skirt steak is made of eggplant. No “impossible” brand stuff, they do it all themselves. It was a total knockout.
  5. Peppermill diner across the street from Resorts World slammed for breakfast.
  6. No line for a cab this evening at LAS, and even still traffic kinda sucked due to the paving of the strip for the F1 race. The 1500 sq ft suites at Venetian don’t suck. I still think this thing looks like it belongs in a Pixar movie:
  7. I don’t go as often as I used to (once or twice a year now max) and haven’t kept tabs on everything, but I was sad to see that Sage at Aria closed. I always liked that place.
  8. Well fuck. I head out tonight until Friday morning.
  9. Those gas pains are no joke. I had them after my colon resection last year and they were almost as painful as the diverticulitis attack itself. Awesome work Wulaw!
  10. Fun enough, good not great. Some fun cameos. Lots of fan service.
  11. The synopses for both include “snuff film”. Hard pass. Can we get back to *favorite* fucked up films?
  12. Not the word I would use. Two awful people being awful to each other. I found it uncomfortable to watch (but I couldn’t look away!).
  13. S2 did introduce me to Lera Lynn, and she’s awesome, so there’s that.
  14. Those are the sorts of finds we all dream of. I found an old Danelectro tube amp and a Kay hollow body electric while helping clean out an attic after an aunt passed, but that was 30-odd years ago and both have disappeared.
  15. There are some stupid talented people on social media
  16. There’s an all original ‘57 listed on Reverb for five grand.
  17. Send it to me l, I’ll let you know what I get for it.
  18. This lass is a pretty good IG add. I think she lives in Texas. https://instagram.com/costcohotfinds?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==
  19. The problem is that if you don’t buy something when you see it, it probably won’t be there when you go back. Inventory turns over fast.
  20. Yeah, maybe more “of my lifetime” than of a generation.
  21. He sold the Scud. That was my favorite. Yeah he has that weird Ferrari shooting brake thing now. He has a pretty awesome guest this week. Video should be good.
  22. I haven’t kept up with this thread: did someone post a good shot they took of Phantogram here? Saw them last weekend and I’m a little smitten with Sarah Barthel.
  23. Fuck yeah. For a time when I was an arrogant teenager and thought I knew about music, there weren’t too many female singers that I liked. These days they probably outrank the men.
