  1. I'm glad we're moving out of the Rig12. I honestly don't think CDC would be quiet about David Pierce right now if we were still in this shit conference. Moving to a football/baseball conference has sped up him moving forward (hopefully) with getting a better coach. I believe he would give Pierce one more season to "prove" it, but moving to a competitive conference (Rig12 is a good baseball conference, but not a great one like the SECx3) that truly cares about baseball has shown CDC that it's time we dominate again, quicker. 2. Southwest Airlines flight to Hawaiian island plunges, comes within 400 feet of Pacific Ocean A Southwest Airlines Boeing 737 Max 8 aircraft came within 400 feet of slamming into the Pacific Ocean off the coast of the Hawaiian island of Kauai after weather conditions forced pilots to swiftly change course. A Southwest Airlines memo to pilots, obtained by Bloomberg News, detailed Southwest Flight 2786 from the April 11 flight from Honolulu International Airport to Lihue Airport in Kauai. Passengers were left white-knuckled after the aircraft dropped from nearly 16,000 feet to an altitude of 409 feet. According to the Southwest memo, the incident occurred following an aborted landing attempt due to bad weather that blocked pilots from seeing the runway at the specified altitude. The memo noted that the captain opted to put the "newer" first officer in command of the 100-mile interisland flight, despite the pending weather. The less-experienced first officer "inadvertently" pushed forward on the control column, which controls the plane's pitch and roll, then cut the speed, causing the airplane to rapidly descend. The pilot's aggressive movement prompted the warning system to sound the alarm that the passenger aircraft was getting too close to the terrain. The memo said that the captain ordered the first officer to increase thrust – prompting the aircraft to "climb aggressively" at 8,500 feet per minute. The interisland flight, which should have been approximately 22 minutes long, departed Honolulu at 6:45 p.m., but following the incident, the plane returned to Honolulu at 8:09 p.m. No one was injured during the hair-raising ride. In a statement to Fox News Digital, a Southwest Airlines spokesperson said that "the event was addressed appropriately." "Nothing is more important to Southwest than safety," the spokesperson said. "Through our robust Safety Management System, the event was addressed appropriately as we always strive for continuous improvement." The Federal Aviation Administration told Fox News Digital that it is "investigating the incident."
  3. Quotations from Tesla's proxy statement prepared for the vote state clearly that the vote was in furtherance of the litigation in DE. Description of Proposal 4: A Tesla proposal to ratify the 100% performance-based stock option award to Elon Musk that was proposed to and approved by our stockholders in 2018. from the proxy statement, bottom of page 84 Professor Stephen Bainbridge of UCLA, one of the top corp governance attorneys in the US, wrote that the litigation will continue and that the pay package, even though ratified yesterday, is vulnerable to be overturned in DE once again, this time on grounds of coercion. In effect, one might argue, Musk is threatening to usurp corporate opportunities and to devote even more of his full and attention to his non-Tesla investments. If so, "Delaware decisions recognize that when controllers actually make retributive threats, that fact has legal significance." Also, while the proposal to incorporate in Texas was ratified, the vote yesterday was held under its Delaware charter. The show will go on.
  4. Porzingis straining his manzingis is a potential game changer if we can string this series another game.
  5. Literally the entire over/under thread had the Yankees win total as the under. Now the Yankees are the first MLB team to 50 wins.
  6. Does she look anything like Bill's gf? We need pics to verify
  7. While we wait, it turns out that Pastor Robert Morris of Gateway Church was Molesting a girl in the 80s from age 12-16, and she came forward. Click into the links for the truly appalling details, such as the pastor’s wife forgiving the child for having been molested by her husband. and here, we have a letter from the elders, in which they ask: what’s the big deal?
  8. If anyone was curious, I did look a little deeper on a few teams since 2021. A&M. in one year they finished 1 game out of last place in conference. In another year they were 10th in conference with a losing record and didn’t get out of the regional. As of now, they have fewer CWS wins over that time. They’ve only made 2 Supers and 3 Regionals. Stanford 3 CWS trips. One of those occurred because we lost a ball in the twilight. They were better than us but not by a ton. They were 11 games under .500 this year. So 1 more CWS appearance. 1 less regional appearance. Only 1 CWS Win. Over another PAC 12 team. Our best team is likely better than their best team. Our worst team is easily better than their worst. Arkansas. By my count, 1 CWS appearance since 2021. Lost in the last two regionals. 0-3 versus Big 12 teams in those two regionals. At home. Lost to TCU by a combined 23 runs in two games in 2023. Lost to a .500 KSU in 2024. Good 2022 run. Very good in the regular season. Lost the Super in 2021. Virginia. 3 CWS. 4 Regionals. 3 Supers. 1 CWS win to date. One of those CWS teams was .500 in conference and 9 games over for the season. The Big 12 was higher in the RPI. Florida. Couldn’t get out of their own regional in 2 years including losing to a Big 12 team. Lost one game 19-1. This year is tbd. Lucky to get in the tourney but still going. Good 2023 run to the championship series. .500 conference record one year, sub .500 another. 2 CWS appearances. 2 supers. 4 regionals. They were 3-1 versus the Big 12 in the 2023 post season. I believe we were 5-1 against those same teams in the regular season.
  9. Boston better close it out Monday because this Mavs team isn’t getting eliminated at home and I’ll go down swinging every time with Luka/Kyrie.
  10. Oh I'm sorry we aren't supposed to post politicians. My bad slipped through.
  11. He hit a Mavs Finals record for made 3's. Stroke magically looked good. So, so ridiculous. Whatever, I'll hang on to a shred of hope he can somehow keep that going and the ultimate streak shooter isn't in fact done but has just finally shot himself out of it.
  12. This seems like a situation you've had a long time to think about and are still going with the "I did nothing wrong" angle. Gotta love the commitment and conviction hahaha.
  13. I don't know - people have gotten in trouble for this kind of stuff in the past. Hell, back in the early 2000s, I was a VP at a tech company, and we didn't have a lot of VPs/senior management - it was a pretty flat org chart so I thought I was pretty bulletproof. I had an in-person team meeting for my American, European, Middle Eastern, and African employees, and I held it in Holland, Amsterdam to be precise, and I took them out to dinner and a theater show in the red light district. Some of them were a little uptight and I thought it'd be a hilarious prank to surprise them with a live sex show. Some fucking little shit ratted me out and I was fired as soon as I was back in the US.
  14. Maybe we can finally get a 8 or 10 game roll going
  15. Where are they going to get the money? Stock? Tesla has $27 billion in cash. Their net income last year was $15 billion. If it's stock, what happens when it dumps it to pay for his other hobbies?
  16. Townsend is a dude. He and that Cali TE would be gruntling, or if we can pull off a flip with Anderson and land Townsend. It'll be interesting this season showing all the TE'S that they'll play, especially if Washington gets snaps.
  17. Hang the fucking banner. 20-10 in a conference with zero CWS teams. Lost by dog balls in an elimination game against a team from a shit pile town in a shit pile state where we have 50000x the money they have and oh by the way were seeded better than us because we routinely lost to directional Texas schools throughout the season. Where’s the ticker tape parade.
  18. It is. Bad for dealers. It’s a mess behind the scenes. On that note I told all you idiots to buy ammo. Prices have started going up. It won’t stop for a while. Buy ammo. Wait on guns till end of summer.
  19. Jackson absolutely looks like a guy that’s going to end up playing at 290-300
  20. Didn’t get to watch but listened on the radio. Enjoyed the outcome and not having to listen to Doris Burke. I kept laughing every time THJ hit a 3 since it was meaningless minutes but maybe he gets something going.
  21. I think we go as Kyrie goes game 5. I fully expect Luka to have a good game but Kyrie was rattled in Boston. If he can play well, it will quiet/frustrate the crowd and confidence will spread to everyone. And alternatively, if he plays poorly, lots of negative energy for everyone else to fight through. It's probably something to do with my 6th+ ranch water but I feel good about getting it back to Dallas.
  22. Noticed some new behavior that I thought was worth sharing. Wife's car typically goes in the garage, but it's had to stay outside for a few days. On multiple occasions, she's made the effort to install the sun shade in the window (a noteworthy win), but chose to leave the shade for the moonroof open. I'm not sure she's grasping the core concept.
