What do people think the scorecards would have been if it had gone one more second?

Easily unanimous decision, probably all 49-46, maybe one or two 48-47's if you follow my flawed theory.

Holloway was easily winning.  I suppose someone could have been generous and given Gaethje a round if they wanted, but Max dominated the whole fight....and then punctuated it with 1 second to go.

It was 50-45 Max and he risked it all to bang

Edit: Also heard in the post-fight Max Holloway interview that somehow the knockdown was somehow officially not scored a knockdown, so my understanding is Max has still never even been knockdown-ed. Insane. Finished via armbar by Poirier.

I thought Justin won Rd 4, so 49-46 imo, but your main point still stands.  Max had no reason to take that risk against a guy who throws bombs like Justin, and he did it because he's a warrior and a showman.  Amazing.

What an event. Well worth the PPV buy.  The fact that you had two former champs in Garbrandt and Figuereido leading off the early prelims was insane.

Holloway and Gaethje. Dang. That spinning kick to break JGs nose obviously changed JGs plan. You could tell he couldn’t breathe and was trying his darndest to not let his nose get touched. Max looked fantastic and that finish?  Unreal. Loved to see it, but hated to see JG face down on the mat for so long.

Poatan is just a scary human being. Advising Herb to stand back then landing the KO right after was amazing.

Is Charles done?  Not that old but has a lot of mileage. He needs to rethink being able to pull guard on these dudes that are just so strong on the ground. Thought he had him twice though. Arman clearly won every minute in between though. Still, always love to watch Do Bronx fight.

They need to match up Nickal with Khamzat to eliminate one of them from relevance. Hopefully Whitaker can do that to Khamzat first.

I thought Jiri was going down and he came back and took out Rakic. Good on him. Probably matches up with Jamahal now I would think.

301 looks terrible so I bet they try to shoehorn Poatan on that card to try and save it. Probably not enough time though.

I sense a theme... This Rebecki dude was -400 and got destroyed he won about 3 minutes then got dominated.

Am I just catching upsets, or are these guys fighting average dudes and knocking them out and moving up, then coming on a big weekend against real fighters and getting split?

Rebecki was supposed to be the surest win on the night and got smashed and outworked by an old dude.

So, I'm behind because I rewound, but I just watched a guy, who was supposedly ranked #11 in LHW, run with his head down and eyes closed into the fence... Then he got knocked out.

So, now, this olberg dude that won in 12 seconds is going to be #11 and I don't even think there was a fight.... And this guy has won 6 in a row... What is going on in the UFC?

Wtf is this?

Ok. I think I have it figured out. If people will watch this level of free UFC, you let the commercials post for it, while promoting the PPC

The fights were actually ok to watch. I'd watch (fall asleep watching, like I did several times tonight) this on Saturday nights when there isn't football or playoffs of NBA games to watch.

Poirier needs to retire after this fight. Watching him in an interview he's looking punchy and having some speech patterns altered from previous interviews back during the McGregor fights. Already irreversible damage done but if he gets out now he can hopefully mitigate it.

I haven't really noticed that, but the last run retiring rhetoric seems off. He also just defeated one of the most dangerous up and comers in his division to be in this position. In this fight he's going to need to take a lesson from Volkanovski to ride out the on the back position and get deeper into the fight. Else, gonna have to stun him well timed strikes.

This would be a devastating setback for Strickland if he can't pull this off. I think 3 rounds is a disadvantage.

Disregard the 3 rounds, someone misspoke earlier this week.

Kind of a typical Sean Strickland win. I did like the eventually emulation of the 'Johnny Come Marching' of the fake teep kick with every single step forward once he decided that he was done eating calf kicks. That use of the right leg to cross check a kick was beautiful.

They're really going out of their way to show that 34 count convicted felon Trump every chance they can get and kiss his criminal ass.

As buttoned up and corporate as TKO keeps it with the WWE you'd think they tell Dana to knock that shit off. Just plays right into the stereotypes of the uneducated, uncivilized, meathead persona of MMA.
