Happy Easter, Surlists!

My wife insists on hiding the Easter eggs with candy in them outside.  It has worked just fine every year until now.  A little more humid out this morning than in the past and more mosquitoes.   Kids have a blast collecting the eggs and when they come in side about 1/3 of the eggs have ants in them.  I help my daughter out get the ants out, separate the goods and relax.   My wife helps out our oldest  Our youngest (5) doesn't wait for us, throws some of his eggs on the ground shattering them and spreading the candy and ants out first.  But he grows tired of this so he opens the rest of his on the sofa.  Amazingy his plan worked.  Now we have ants all over the sofa and not on his candy.

Happy Easter!

Last year we found an egg from some prior year.  It looked fine on the outside, just a plastic egg.  But the horror we discovered on the inside can't be described in polite company.  Or the surl, either.  I think it started out as a Reese's peanut butter egg, but what we found was far, far from that.  It was... alive.

And I looked, and he opened the sixth seal, and behold, there was a great earthquake. And the sun became as black as sack cloth, and the moon became as blood."

And the seas boiled and the skies fell.

Oh wait, Easter....the one with the bunny and stuff.

Tell him about the Twinkie
