Like the idea hasn't already been floated.

It's like they think that all old people are old and racists and all young people are cool and love socialism. Seems pretty ageist to me.

Fuck old people, but don't take away their Medicare republicans. I never understood it.

The best thing about the Green New Deal is that the left isn't pretending to care about what the right thinks about climate change anymore.

It's about time.

Yep.  Fuck em.  Leave them behind.  We don't have time to pretend that they aren't completely full of shit anymore.

Oh shit, yeah. conservative means racist, I always walk right in to that one. Garrison is a hack though. His stuff sucks, too busy, and his illustrations are  boring.

Warren in a fucking Native costume.

Harris and Booker with exaggerated lips.

Harris with her tits hanging out. (More sexist than racist)

And not a traditional white candidate in the bunch - just the Jew, the two black people, and white woman costumed up like an Injun from a John Wayne movie.

I’m surprised he didn’t include Mayor Pete in Village People garb.

Stop it, for god sake stop it.  Political cartoonists exxagerate the features of people, it's part of the genre.  Warren in an Indian costume is her own fucking doing. Grow up you child.  I know you live in bumfuck Alabama but try to get out more, mmkay punk in'.  You can go now.

I get out plenty you condescending windbag.

But way to prove my point by stereotyping me because of where I live and doing your typical male patronizing.

And I notice you didn’t address any of the other things I listed.

But I don’t know why I’m bothering to engage with someone like you on this topic anyway.

You’ve proven time and again your willful ignorance on the topic of race.

Get over yourself.

you are fucking insane if you view Harris and Bookers lips as depicted stereotypically large(or really any larger than Warren).

Let me guess it’s also homophobic and/or rape enabling because Sanders is forcefully touching the donkeys ass.

Artwork is always a subjective opinion and I agree he is hit and miss on a lot of his stuff.  He is absolutely one hundred percent on point with the above cartoon though.  This is exactly what is happening to the Democratic Party today.  If Bill Clinton was involved in politics today he would be treated by the Democratic Party the same way they treated Joe Lieberman in the last few years of his political career.  Hell, Bill Clinton today would probably be considered to be to the right of Susan Collins or Lisa Murkowski.

Oh I don't disagree with his point or that art is subjective. But really successful political cartoons are a single figure that captures a very strong g simple message . how are always complicated and tedious IMO.  I don't care for Picasso either, but love Jackson Pollack.

Just a completely oblivious and ignorant take.

Do you even look at public opinion polls?  On almost every issue (gun control, health care, education investments, taxes on wealthy, climate change, etc) the American people are far more liberal than our elected officials.

The Democratic Party is moving in the direction the voters are pushing them.  That’s the way democracy works you know?  The people run this shit.   You can continue to blame the bias MSM and the minorities though.

No it's not, and you know it. But you will project, as well as the rest of your ilk, to push the narrative.

Of course it's not. It's OBVIOUSLY being used as a sarcastic jab at Mrs. Warren for taking on the false narrative of her American Indian heritage, and then doubling down on said false hood.  If he can't see that I wonder how he ties his shoes, meh he's probably got Velcro tabs.

No one is making fun of American Indians with her being dressed in a headdress and buckskins. She is the target of the humor.

The is the target of humor by a cartoonist using stereotypical cultural symbols. That's racist.

DD.  Go outside for a while, get a breath of fresh air.  Try to look at the lawn, a bird or a car passing by without pondering racism.

You really are a little loony.

So if he'd drawn Elizabeth Warren in blackface eating watermelon, that's totally cool because she's the object of ridicule.

OK.

First, that would not make any sense to the reader.

Second, black face and eating water melon would be a racial stereotype.

Third, NAs did, at some point, most likely wear buckskins and a form of feathered head dress.  EW has made claims to be NA this she is being lampooned for it.  That in and of itself is not racist.

If I claimed to be an Eskimo and I was found to be otherwise, I’d expect to be caricaturized in a big musk ox parka with an ulu in one hand and a piece of whale blubber in the other.   And deservedly so.

You’re just ate up with the racist thing.  Look into your refrigerator.   The inside walls are white because GE is racist.  Tell me I’m wrong.

Seriously, take a break from Surly and enjoy life a little.

You leave a room for a few weeks and you come back to find a circle jerk has broken out.

The "sometimes you're wrong when you call me a racist" argument isn't really particularly strong. If you or a group you're associated with is repeatedly called racist, maybe you ought to try a little introspection instead of reflexively assuming every accuser is a political hack.
