Cimusz at .288.  Yikes.

She started so hot and then cooled down so fast

If you have to pinch hit for your 3 hole hitter with the tying run on 2nd you suck at making line ups.

Bella ain’t no 3 hole hitter

Texas creeps up to 10th in RPI

10th in D1 softball (up 4 spots)

Honestly if we can steal one game this weekend against OU, it would be a great weekend for us.  On the flip side, not being run-ruled 3 days in a row would also feel like a win.

Does OU still have that Polynesian nose guard who hits bombs?

No she is gone.  They only have 57 HR as a team right now, with no one having more than 8.  They don't have a dominant HR hitter like Alo this year.

They do have a team ERA of 1.00

Is that good? That seems good.

Seriously though, how is that relative to other terrific pitching teams this year across the country?

3rd best in the country - Tennessee is 0.62 and Clemson is 0.63

Texas is 1.84, which is 16th.   The best staff we have faced thus far is Wisconsin (13th at 1.83)

You gotta feel like this is the chance for a win since their offense isn’t as potent as before

Two of the players who were supposed to provide power this year have disappointed, one relatively, one completely. Jennings hit ~ 30 homers last year and has 5 this year. She is still clutch and has a > 400 average overall, but the power isn't there. Sanders also hit about 30 homers last year, and she been just plain bad. I think more strikeouts than hits, and only 220 overall. She's sitting a lot.

That said, OU still leads the nation in team batting average (390) on base % (480), slugging (715), and runs per game (9). But last year they were scoring 10 a game.

Jayda Coleman is putting together a player of the year case with a 500 batting average, 640 on base, 8 HR, 12/12 stolen bases, and outstanding defense.
