Worthy follow up to see how her stance may have changed given it’s been almost a year since the comment

No it isn't. Dude just wanted a soundbite of her saying something stupid.

To be fair, you could say that about any question you ask her.

Well maybe the fact that this is the Caitlin Clark thread and you all can't quit talking about Angel Reese in it makes her point somewhat valid.

OH absolutely. Just to start another civil war on social media between their fanbases.

Fair.

I like Angel too...that's what sucks. If the girl would learn to not take 12 plus shots a game while shooting 38-40% from 5 feet or less, she'd be so much more valuable and taken more seriously. She's a super high level role player(ELITE rebounding and very good to great defense) on a title contender. Not the star despite her clout, and she doesn't understand that yet.

angel reese is a terrible person and somehow an even worse basketball player, and there’s nothing wrong with a reporter asking her a follow up question to something that she so boldly and indignantly stated.

Is she actually elite at rebounding or just gaming rebounds by all her own terrible misses that hit the bottom or side of rim and go right back to her?

can anyone who gets all of their rebounds by standing flat footed with their arms in the air like a toddler asking to be picked up truly be considered an elite rebounder?

I don't think there's gaming at all.  She legitimately can't make layups.  She sucks.  This isn't like Russell Westbrook boxing out teammates for rebounds

Did some research.  Paige's parents divorced when she was 3.  She stayed with her dad. Her biological mom (who was at her draft) moved to Montana.  Paige's stepmom is black and she has a half brother named Drew who is half black.  Now I understand.

My alltime favorite football player- Earl, a black man.  Current favorite player- Pat, has a black dad and white mom.
Basketball would be Julius, also a black man and Hakeem, from Nigeria.
Baseball alltime is Ivan from Puerto Rico and Jose from Venezuela.

Women are absolutely underrepresented, but I also hate minority athletes.

Bro what?  She absolutely can't make short shots/layups but she is a damned good rebounder. It's not just her own misses.

C'mon be real.

yeah this...she hasn't learned yet, and may never, that getting the rebound, even within 3 feet, and passing it back to the outside to get another shot with a new clock is infinitely better than going up 3-5 times herself.

Last year there was NEVER a reason she should have lead the Sky with shot.  Average 12 plus shots a game on 38-40% shooting from 5 feet or less? It's horrendous.

This year they have better ball handlers and guards, and Cardosa should have been the focal point of that offense, not Reese.

Exactly this.   If you took away the rebounds she got on her own shots she STILL would have led the league in rebounding.

Oh absolutely!  I've repeatedly said she's a elite level Role Player, not a super star. But her fans/the rivalry, keeps pushing her as such.

Dennis Rodman was never the face of the nba.  He did get lots of attention, but that was because of his own circus.  The league never tried to push him as one of its biggest stars, and I don’t think he ever claimed that himself.

He brought the circus, but he was an elite defender and unquestioned leading rebounder.

I don't remember him talking shit to the media about any other players either. Mofo was there to win, even with the extra shenanigans. He was part of the solution for Detroit and Chicago, maybe not so mych in Churro-town.

plus rodman was a much better overall player. i’d liken angel reese to ron artest or anthony mason.

Or maybe Angel plays more like Kurt 🤔

holy fuck these women fucking suck shooting the basketball. CC can shoot, but I watched for about 5 minutes, and saw everyone else miss about 5 free throws and launch a half dozen flat out bricks or airballs. Its fucking brutal, lulz

Chicago absolutely on fire

it’s especially crazy considering how small that ball is. the league avg for FT’s should be >80%.

Reese is a loose cannon that will never play on a team in the WNBA that can win a title until she figures out that she is not a 1st or 2nd option. Clark has the entire top floor rent free. The foul was not excessive, but she did know what she was doing.

Meanwhile Clark puts up another triple double and pistol whips the Sky by 35. One player is an all-time talent that will win multiple titles and the other can’t figure out the mystery of the successful layup.

If the wnba ever spreads it's wings and has a full all-star weekend, Reese is gonna be a menace in that Sat night flat-footed rebound contest.

He said Larry Bird would be just another player if he wasnt white.   I dont know if some of you are just too young or if you are purposely misremembering shit.

Ok One comment.  Did he have ongoing feuds with people?  Hell Larry Bird wore other teams out for having white players defend him.  Guess they're  all like ole Angel.

No.

35.7 shooting percentage is freaking awesome.

The W is about to blow up. Very good basketball product - ready-made megastar - ton of super good-looking players across the league.

I tried to fucking tell y'all...

The WNBA had 22 regular-season games last year that averaged more than 1 million viewers — the first time since 2008 that a WNBA game topped 1 million viewers. If you add in the WNBA All-Star Game and the WNBA Draft, that makes 24 WNBA events that topped 1 million viewers during the 2024 calendar year.

Clark was part 21 of those 24 windows, per Sports Media Watch. And last year, six different WNBA television partners set viewership records for their highest WNBA game. All six involved the Fever.

She averages 1.2 more than Aja Wilson.   I’d bet she gets more than one rebound off of her misses a game

Reese has 11 missed shots on the season.
Wilson, 13.
Boston , in 3rd place on boards, has 4 missed shots.
Brionna Jones has 9 misses.
Clark is 5th in boards, having 11 misses
