No one is OK with that shit Flood is trotting and has been for the past 5 seasons. He's gone after this season, anyway. Thankfully. Let's hope Sark finds a guy who can punch above their weight and get more 4/5* linemen than 3* projects. And development is key. The guy has to be able to develop, even in his first year with what Flood has left him. Sark is not keeping that lazy retread around simply because CDC doesn't like losing, and he has functioning eyes like the rest of us.

We see what Arch can do with competent line play, not even high-level linemen. If he can get dudes that will push motherfuckers around, watch out. Plus that will open up the run game, and if that happens, we're cooking with arson.

I must have missed the story, but is the bold above true or wishful thinking.

He'll get over Flood, he knows he will, 'cause he's the king of wishful thinking.

The OL is a huge downgrade but it’s not a downgrade from a good or elite line. It’s a downgrade to an above average to good pass blocking line and a bad run blocking line.

How many elite lines were there in college football last year? How many teams had better lines than we did?

Mostly wishful thinking, but if something isn't working on all cylinders by season 5, one would hope the outcome will be we upgrade. And yes, it's me wishing into the universe it will happen because frankly, I'm sick of 3 star, lazy developmental bullshit, and if we're ever going to win a NC under Sarkisian we will need a dominant line to do so, and where has it been?

We can't keep letting QBs come here to die. At some point in the near future, if we've cycled through three top 5 five-star QBs and have nothing to show for it except for the occasional CFP appearances, then we've hit our ceiling and kids aren't going to want to play for a coach who isn't developing them. Since 2019 with a funny, but aloof moron you have Ed Orgeron, Nick Saban, Kirby Smart, Jim Harbaugh, and Ryan Day all winning championships, and you know what they all had in common? Great OL and QB play, and say what you will about JJ McCarthy, he's still a first rd pick. On one game alone we're hoping the OL is modicum at best. Every dude on that line outside of Baker has been here for 3+ years and we are...well, you have eyes. The only shining light that came out of them almost getting our former #1 overall QB killed in the 4th qtr against, and hang with me here, Mississippi State defense, is it built character and somehow made him play better the next game. Will that continue? We're about to find out.

Didn’t Eli tell them to fuck off and not draft him?

This discussion is crazy.  Anytime you put 4 OL in the NFL in a single year, that OL was elite.

I think what some are trying to say is that Filet Mignon, Ardbeg Corryvrecken, HEB Creamy Creations Ice Cream, and Chicken Fried Steak are all awesome things that anyone in the NFL would love to have on their team, but when mixed together into a bowl they can't run the ball on Georgia.
