The stats often referenced about the percentages of guns that come from the US that are used in Mexico are about as misleading as you would expect stats that Mexico would provide us regarding drugs imported here. We only bother to trace guns that they ask us to trace, and they only ask us to trace guns that they think came from here. So of course the percentage is high. And of course they don't like to admit that a large number of those guns come from deserters from their own police forces and military.

the white conservative political party has been in charge since the end of reconstruction.
