Mike said postgame that the team will get a nice 2 days off this week since we have no midweek game. Next game is Friday night in Lawrence.

Considering we just went OKST-OU-TXST-Baylor in 10 consecutive games, team deserves it. Went 7-3 in that extremely hard span of games

Texas remains #1 in this morning's D1 Softball RPI report

12 FSU
13 Louisiana
20 TXST
21 Baylor
28 Penn St
31 UCF
33 Tech
34 KU

Watched aggy beat Alabama tonight winning the series.  3rd in SEC, #10RPI,  remaining series vs Ole Miss and @ Florida.     So they will likely host,  could be in discussion for a top 8 seed should they win the Florida series and win or make finals of SEC tournament.   Regardless,  we may again be paired with them in the postseason.

Last year media projections began around the 3rd week of April.

Selection show: May 12 at 7 p.m. ET | ESPN2

  • Regionals: May 16/17-19
  • Super Regionals: May 23-25 or May 24-26
  • Women's College World Series: May 30-June 6/7 in Oklahoma City

Any way TXST ends up in aggy hosted regional???

Yes it’s a possibility. Really depends on what they do with TXST and Baylor. They should send TXST to aggy and Baylor to Arky if they host or TXST to OU and Baylor to aggy

But I’m fully prepared to see them in Austin yet again

Texas is likely going to be seeded between 1 and 3 nationally. Aggy would have to drop in the 14-16 range to be a super regional matchup then

Now they could try to match us up to face each other game 1 in OKC (1v8, 2v7, 3v6)

Looking at the Kansas stats,  Ludwig (starting today) is a soph starting her first game this year with only 8 IP, 5.88era.    Their aces are Hamilton and Brooks who have started 38 of their 42 games.    Perhaps injury or McFalls is gambling on game 1 or knows something we don't.

Kaitlyn Slack is now Kaitlyn Chiles.

White said that KU switched SPs about half an hour before game time. Texas wasn’t that prepared to face Ludwig. Maybe she has a better change up than the other 2, which is our weakness.

TK threw 5 innings, Mac threw 2 for the save. Ludwig threw all 7 for KU

Citlaly will likely start today with Czech ready to go. If Czech is not needed today, perhaps we go Morgan/Czech or Czech/Morgan tomorrow. Here’s hoping we have a huge lead and Sophia gets some work today, saving Czech and Morgan for Sunday

A week after ISU takes the series from OKST, they’ve dropped the series to BYU already, 1-5 and 7-8

Color me shocked UCF lost to Baylor as well, 1-2. UCF looked like they were going to work their way up to #4 in the Big 12, though they are only a game behind KU

The league is perfectly split - 5 teams above .500, 5 teams below. After this weekend, Texas finishes Big 12 play with  the 9th and 6th place teams

Let's hope Citilaly has a strong performance.    She and TK haven't been their sharpest as of late.

I thought TK may be tiring as she has thrown 82 IP (most, Mac 63, Citilaly 60) but checking her bio she threw 128 IP in '22 Spring/Summer travel ball circuit.
