Chelsea 2018-2019: Sarri, not sorry

According to Duncan Castles, Lukaku split with Raiola because “he’s got fed up” with how the super-agent has been handling his business.

Specifically, Lukaku was upset with Raiola for how he ended up joining Manchester United and not Chelsea.

I havent been watching manure, but I'd welcome back Lukkaku with open arms.

Hazard's winner - https://streamja.com/BPOP

RLC is going to be so good if he can refine his game just a little more.  He uses his body like he's the biggest guy on the field (he usually is) but is really good with the ball at his feet.  Hopefully we get to see a front three of him at RW, Hazard at the false 9, and Willian or Pedro at LW sometime this season.

Opposing fan, not here to flame. Doesn’t it seem like Kante’s playing out of position in this system? Love him and like Jorginho but they seem to be cannibalizing each other’s strengths.

Yes, it's been discussed here and any other Chelsea board you can find.

Article on Chelsea's Official Site discussing CHO. Hope this points to him getting more playing time and avoiding all this Bayern bullshit.

Sarri indicated he would have no concerns about giving the youngster another opportunity against strong opposition.

‘I think so, he’s ready,’ said Sarri. ‘Of course we have very important players in the same position, so do you want Willian or Pedro on the bench? I can play with only two wingers, three is difficult.

‘But I think now he is ready. He can play but of course sometimes he will be on the bench, like Willian or Pedro, but now I can start to consider him at the same level.

‘I know for me he is a very important player, he‘s young and now he’s improving, especially in the defensive phase. I think he played really well in the last match. He was in trouble in the game at Watford but only because he had a problem in his hamstring. I’m really very happy with him, I don’t know the situation with the club but for me he’s an important player.’

Sarri believes the best long-term option for Hudson-Odoi right now is to remain at Stamford Bridge.

‘I don’t think so because he’s an English player, he’s very young, he has the future and I think he has a very great future here, with the national team and Chelsea,’ he replied, when asked if the player would benefit from moving abroad.

‘To stay here is better for him. I want to speak to him only about the pitch, about movements and the defensive phase. I’m very happy because he’s improved in the defensive phase in a very important way in the last month.

‘First of all I want good players. But we are lucky because our Academy is very good. It’s important because if you have five or six players from the academy you can have soul, more than when you have 25 foreign players.’

David Luiz on Cesc

Quote

“I think it’s an emotional day not just for him, for everybody. One of the best players playing in England was him, everyone knows that. Sad for everybody when you lose this kind of player, this kind of person, but I think everybody has to stand up and clap the hands for him because he deserves it.

“It’s always difficult to lose players, especially like him, because like I say he’s a world-class player but also I understand it’s part of the process, and if it’s better for him and better for the club, we have to understand that.”

Fabregas won two Premier League titles, a League Cup and an FA Cup with Chelsea, and Luiz said it was that champion’s assertiveness that would remain in the memory.

“I think he won everything with this club. My memories are always going to be with the world-class player, with the great technique, he’s a great guy.

“He has experience. He knows football, I think he had the opportunity to learn in many different changing rooms when he was so young, before, so he brings always a confidence, energy for the team, and then in the pitch he showed that it doesn’t matter the game, he’s always going to show his qualities. Sad. It’s really sad for us. We are wishing him all the best, because he deserves it.”

Here is the onside call by VAR that allowed the PK.

Past that, Morata now linked with both Sevilla and A. Madrid.

We have been linked with Cavani, Higuain, and Callum Wilson.

We are actively negotiating with Barella

Icardi is not renewing with Inter, contract is through 2021, us and RM are linked with him.
