This definition?

Fascism (/ˈfæʃɪzəm/ FASH-iz-əm) is a far-right, authoritarian, and ultranationalist political ideology and movement,[1][2][3] characterized by a dictatorial leader, centralized autocracy, militarism, forcible suppression of opposition, belief in a natural social hierarchy, subordination of individual interests for the perceived good of the nation or race, and strong regimentation of society and the economy.

Non morons see this clearly as it is so blatant

I think if you live in America he's your leader too.  And are you under the impression that every President since the beginning of this country hasn't picked favorites within industries?

Ah, so he's trying to shrink the government so he can then lead a reduced government..  Yup, that's what Dictators do..strive to lead a reduced government with less functions, smaller budgets, etc.

What do you call letting an unelected unappointed CEO billionaire gut the agencies actively investigating his various enterprises, giving this individual the protected personal information of millions of Americans, allowing this individual to scuttle an executed multibillion dollar deal with a competitor of this individual and allowing one of his companies to take it over, and finally attempting to award this individual a 400 M contract to place armor on a fleet of vehicles another of his companies manufactures, when the initial agency request something that would cost a fraction of that?

and you're under the impression that just in the last 6 weeks our government has started handing out sweetheart deals to their donors?      Interesting perspective.

I think the test isn't for either of us to pick an historical fascist state, of which they were many.  I think the more relevant task would be to actually defend the labeling of the current administration as fascist. It seems like a reductive labeling...one used by somebody who's angry and not sure what else to call them to convey their anger?

@Sawbonz you called it.

So he's trying to grow the government?    Didn't he pass all those evil tax cuts in his last administration?  So he was trying to grow the government by reducing their inbound revenue?   Interesting tactic.

Nope, I'm not relying on whataboutism.  You're claiming there has been some seismic shift in the last 6 weeks of donor influence..My position is that there has not.  My position is that the donors to our government at the highest levels have all received sweetheart deals.  It seems your position is that this is a new occurrence that started 6 weeks ago

Well, let's examine this for a minute, just the "grammar police."  First off, this isn't grammar, it's word misusage.  This site has a long history of ragging word misusers.  See, for example:  idoit, meadoker, uphauling, french benefits, fewer, etc.

But what it tells me about you is that you're not a big reader.  You've heard of "tenets," but you thought it was "tenants," likely because you've never read about tenets.  Which is pretty consistent, very likely, with where you get your news.  Meaning, if you read it at all, it's in 140 character "sound" bites.

I am not a huge fan of labeling people like you Nazis.  But the historical parallels are really quite striking.  You seem to know that deep down, Hitler and some of the founders were enamored with Norse mythology and Aryans and stuff.  But the common-or-garden Nazi, the people that ultimately made it go, were mostly, a large mostly, nominally Christians, although clearly very poor ones.  And it was mostly Christians who harbored the rank anti-Semitism that he preyed upon to scapegoat for Germany's ills.  People that liked the economic "prosperity" he brought.

Is it possible that you hold such a strong hatred for the current administration that your judgement is clouded?

There has been an absolute seismic shift in donor influence. Objectively, and measurably. You are wanting us to accept a premise that is verifiably false. Like wanting to stipulate the sky is plaid.

no donor has ever wielded the power Elon Musk currently does. That is irrefutable. You are really stupid, delusional, or a dishonest sack of shit

Got it.  If you think Donor influence has grown to unseen levels in the last 6 weeks alone, relative to the prior 100+ years of American History, we are just going to have to agree to disagree.  I view this administration as the same level of corrupt as all the prior..no more, no less.

A poisonous gas used against civilians in gas chambers. It was used solely for the purpose of killing Jews. It was not intended to be used in the field nor was it designed for that purpose.

But, you know that you Dirlenwanger wannabe.

Two things:  tax cuts say nothing about tax levels or who is benefitting from those tax cuts. Comparisons between private industry and government are inherently flawed.
