Pirates shut out for all three games in Seattle. First time they’ve suffered a three game series shutout since 1888 according to the announcers.

And back to reality the Pirates go.

Don’t worry when they promote another family member to a prominent front office role the streak will…continue on for another 17+ series.

Big boy!  I don't get how he built so much rep off his rookie season.  He's gotten worse every year.

Rockies got smoked. Their July schedule is pretty easy so if they manage to fuck it up more we’re looking at 125 losses.

It's idiotic that baseball insists the umpire feelings are more important than getting the pitches called correctly.

Call the fucking pitch.  Not the catcher's mitt.  Not your Bryce Harper bias.  Not your 7PM dinner plans.

My 80 year old Dad, will be 81 in August still plays 4 games a week in the Austin Geezer Softball league.  Some of his happy hour friends came to watch them play and one of the ladies said it looked like little league with beards. He still runs the bases and plays outfield.  I'm pretty sure he's in better shape than I am.

Not sure how to check this but 87 Nolan may have at some point....he had 4 wins until 8/18 (then 4 more the rest of the season)

He had 5.4 WAR at end of season, so not sure when exactly it surpassed his wins

Raffy wasn't thrilled at all.

I mean, if an Astro blew off Bagwell, would it matter?

Just fucking produce.  He's also a gotdam 3rd baseman.  Multiple organizations now are seemingly intent upon teaching Devers a lesson.  He needs to gotdam comply, right?
