he has his own hitting coach and would constantly adjust his swing here. glad he found a good tweak on a contract year. he should send  his guy to look at tucker

non story for me, astros hitters are trending up but this isn't a power hitting team. we need yordan to wake up and altuve to realize he's now a slap hitter. stop trying to pull everything

also, brantley has 10 and 8 yo boys that both play baseball. he's not dropping them for a full time coaching gig  <<< you see brantley comments online

and he gone .....

The Astros have DFAd Tayler Scott

Tayley Scott was designated for assignment today to make room for Colton Gordon.

Scott has an ERA of 5.40 in 17 games

No smith in the lineup so we can get Caratini and Dubon in there. Nice!
now that they got rid of Scott we are a du on trade and Brandon Rodgers release away from Espada proofing this motherfuker.

This, anyone who has followed the Astros with any degree of interest the last five years or so has heard the continued flood of news that Alex has spent a winter retooling his swing, Alex changed his body, as well as the continued bits through the season about changing hands, stance, bat, hair cut, whatever......

I never understood how he actually knew what his original stance and swing were because he kept changing them like socks.

I wouldn't have cared if he worked with Ray DeLeon from Banditos baseball if he would have just stopped trying to pull everything and settled on a swing and a stance.

He also owes us the final episode of Salsa Fuego to explain why that prized formula taste so bad.

Until he goes on the injured list again in a week.
but yeah, he has to be on the IL or 26 man all year or we lose him.
I sort of suspect the injury this time around was bullshit and they used it to stash him for a while longer. Maybe I’m being paranoid.

Angry Wulaw is my favorite thing about this season so far.

I’m not really angry. I still think this team is 90+ wins and ready to go into the AL playoffs as favorites (ish)

Creative differences with the Yuli gang made that impossible imo

85 pitches 9 runners and 2 swing and missed in 4.1 innings. That was gross and I seat I don’t think some of yall understand what you are seeing when you watch a baseball game.

It was his debut, not McCullers.

I mean, ok?  He’s not going to consistently get big league hitters out with gross stuff and no swing and miss to him. It should have been blubaugh or Ullola going tonight instead of left handed Bielak.

Was he not helpful to the cause tonight?

Baseball is also stupid. Last time they had a guy on 2B they hit a ball that was a routine out until it hit 2B and turned into a double. We have a guy on 2B and Paredes hits one 100 mph right st their 3B. He doesn’t have to move. And then people can’t deal with “it’s sometimes just dumbass luck” and they invent a narrative around it.
