UIW is ass.  Haven't had a winning season since 2009.  If the ASU coach doesn't sit their starters and let the backups play, it's a damn coaching mistake.

You're just biased against Texas State's chief rival. Incarnate Word is best not trifled with if ASU knows what's good for them.

Oh I am certainly not worried about ASU losing to UIW, but back to back days and then 3 matches in 4 games, all while on the road, is a lot.

Louisville match passing was way better than I thought. Poor Emma

Halter: 1.97 (57 attempts)
Stafford: 2.17 (18)
AVW: 2.35 (13)
Gary: 2.80 (5)

Someone on VT posted the metrics of Bunton's blocking - she had an elite blocking match against Louisville, which is why she starts.  Now if we can just get her offense and connection with Swindle going

Touch rate - 16.5%
Good touch rate - 72.5%
Error touch rate - 17.2%

Louisville with a good 3-1 bounce back against Creighton on the road

I really like Louisville's personnel. Somewhat undersized at the left pin, but that's pretty normal outside of the top recruiting goliaths like Texas and Nebraska. And Petersen/Chicoine is one heck of a combo if you're going to be slightly undersized.

And Cabello is pretty legit

Harvey looks so much better than Bunton already. I haven't seen a slide yet, but she's so much quicker off the floor. I like what I see very early on.

Same thought. She gets up high and slams that ball down

I think with our back line defense, you can sacrifice her blocking for her offense for now

I'm unconvinced we're sacrificing with the block with her in there.

I think it's going to pose a real problem for Elliott with this double sub to pull Spears off the court when we get late into the season and into tournament time. She's a monster.

I like keeping Binney and Kahahawai invested, and Kahahawai has given everything to this program. But Spears is really really special. It's not like she came out of nowhere, but I had heard she had issues with her shot selection and that maybe Vander Wal was the real steal of the class. I don't know. I like both of them. But Spears has been super impressive in the early going. Like Royal says, if they're going to bite, they're going to bite as a pup.

Holy moley. Harvey on that hit to tie it up at 18 apiece. All 3 of these freshmen look stunning at times.

These long rallies are chef's kiss. Texas takes the lead 20-19.

I love this sport so much. I'm grateful to have a team that's fun to watch again. No offense to last year's squad.

When is the last time we had 3 freshmen starters? Do you know off the top of your head, Js1?

3 freshman front row starters? No idea. Was thinking 2011 but Webster was a sophomore, alongside freshman Eckerman and Bell

Tied up at 23

It hit her forearm. No question. The ball changed trajectory after hitting her forearm.

Was extremely obvious but Sam and Emily were harping on the no touch by a finger

Like duh but it still went out of bounds bc it hit her forearm

Sam is such a grind to listen to.

Who was it talking about how unusual it is for Texas to have an uptempo set to the outside pin? I was reading the CC feed instead of listening at the time.
