Pene is probably one of the unstables that the aggy thinks don’t exist.

Don't be obtuse. Of course they exist. But you know you're full of shit trying to pretend like the numbers are remotely comparable.

Go to any airport in America and count how many people feel the need to wear apparel that makes a political statement. Tell me what you see.

How many cars feel the need to tell you their thoughts on Brandon or the liberal media.

Left wing signaling is much less widespread and usually non-offensive and generic as fuck. Your favorite 'In this House...' signs, for example.

But, if anyone is going to completely ignore and blow by any and all social cues to deliver a political rant, Vegas wouldn't even let you place a bet on who it would be because the odds are so lopsided.

I got my magat BIL in the family xmas draw this year and he is yet to send me any ideas for a gift.  Looking for gift ideas, semi-serious or not, that I can get him and also send a message.

A bullet with his name on it.  Put it in a card that says "Eat it, fucker."

You could do one of those custom russian nesting doll things.

2026 theme - oligarchs

trump > elon > karp > bezos > zuck

2027 theme - tyranny

trump > putin > xi

Make it an annual tradition. The anticipation of the yearly theme will be palpable.

This post reflects strong measures of selection and perception bias with your baked in political perspective. And that's OK. I've been in lots of airports from central to east coast over the last few months and can't honestly recall noting an imbalance in political attire. I currently live in probably the trumpiest Austin ex-burb. I previously lived in a decidedly liberal enclave of Austin (there were moms literally balling their eyes out in the elementary school hallway on the morning after the election in 2016). Shocking that there are different distributions of political messaging and signaling in those environments. You see people blowing past social cues in one situation or the other based on your perceptions. It's human nature.

Here is an interesting analysis from CATO dated to 2020. Their analysis suggests that extreme liberals are most vocal while moderates and conservatives have been conditioned in the current political environment to keep things closer to the vest. Now, I guess, back to the discussion of ways for liberals to tweak their politically divergent family members at Christmas.

That makes a false assumption that "extreme liberal" views and conservative views are relatively equal in societal impact.  I don't need a 'Breaking News' chyron to tell me that more people are comfortable saying "the environment is dying and money should be spread more equally among everyone" than are comfortable saying "black people, gays, women, and immigrants, get just too much favorable treatment in this country and we should craft the laws to restrict that".

Back on track, is your BIL a sleepy old fellow who has trouble staying awake?  Maybe these would be a good gift.:

You do realize that most of us use this forum as an outlet to say the shit that we can't in real life--because of being members of polite society, family obligations, not being anti-social psychopaths, etc.--right? Only, like, 30% of us are going to take a shit in a box and send it to our conspiracy-riddled uncle. 40% tops.

But, sure, man, keep pretending that there's a liberal equivalent to dude bros proudly displaying WWG1WGA, 3%, and other militia and white nationalist movement paraphernalia and bumper stickers.

Or a parallel to the giant ass Fuck Biden flags at every camping trip and lake I've been on for 5 years.

Or year-round roadside MAGA apparel tents.

They absolutely cannot help themselves.

All of us work or associate with people just itching to squeeze transsexuals and DEI into completely unrelated conversations. Maybe I am sheltered from left wing extremism in [checks notes] Southern California, but I don't recall the last time a universal healthcare (as if that's even comparable) discussion came out of nowhere.

Dumber people and those drawn to conspiracies having poor impulse control and a lack of social etiquette isn't exactly breaking news.
