  7. I'd do both. Maybe divide it up between touristy and then reward with relaxation. Water is super relaxing + food. Not many places offer the scenic + clear, blue water. But you are right, there are nice beaches in a lot of places, but their differences are the problem. If I spend 5 or 6 days in cities, I'm going to almost want that equivalence vegging out somewhere I'm not fighting for space. I'm a super early riser to see sites without people, especially since I know how difficult it is to wake up kids and feed them, so I try to use that time to do the touristy things.
  8. Lack of depth chart has nothing to do with Bianco or whomever is in charge of texaslonghorns.com

  10. Amazon seems to sell a bunch that all seem similar but vary in price. The pine shavings seem to seal the deal though. https://www.amazon.com/s?k=screech+owl+box&crid=3RVYDI5PBJFVK&qid=1757138812&sprefix=screech+owl+box%2Caps%2C119&xpid=4pQCAcmX8SyY1&ref=sr_pg_1
  11. Ummm… yes. Frequently.
  12. *LITERALLY* 100% of my interceptions involve the cpu defender breaking on the ball while my retarded fucking cpu controlled wr just keeps running like goddamn forrest gump. this game is so fucking stupid. my opponent has negative offensive yards and is beating me 10-3.
  13. Could help one remember when the missus is experiencing her monthly tide. "Well, look at that... it's 'fuck going home' o'clock"
  14. Lampasas has started out nicely very considering they lost most of their offense going into the season. Bryson Robert’s is playing QB his senior year after starting at WR the last two years. Still good to beat the Billies by 38 in week 1 and then a foot off the gas win against Salado tonight. The one thing Lampasas definitely stil does well is the defense offensive line play. That is a well coached unit with really good size. @Beau Vine’s Texans get a chance to be the underdog this year on their home field and thankfully for them there is no Ty Johnson there to get long TD’s against them. He’s the off in SoCal now getting national attention that just would not happen in Lampasas.

  16. I mean you're wrong about everything that you're saying. If you want to get all in your feelings about it that's fine.
  17. It’s only the 2nd week of CFB being back, shut up and watch it like a good little junkie
  18. That's an odd size indeed, just a smidge under half the pint+ cans of 16.9 oz, so almost the same as the 4-packs of 16.9 oz cans at 67.6 oz vs a 6-pack of 12 oz at 72 oz.
  19. Some stuff I looked up: How much does an Austin Police Officer make? Base Pay: While in academy, $60,000 per year. After graduation, base pay rises to $70,644 After 1 year, base pay rises to $79,277 After 2 years, base pay rises to $87,498 After 10 years, base pay hits $100,176 .. and tops out at $118,132 Officers can earn overtime pay and other pay stipends based on language skills, certifications, education, etc. These might add $10,000 or so to base pay, for those that qualify. This job requires a high school diploma or GED, US citizenship, a drivers license, the ability to read, write and speak English, and either 12 semester hours of college credit or 2 years in the military or two years of work experience. You have to be 20.5 years of age to enter the academy. You can graduate high school, work two years somewhere, and you are good to apply. The job comes with health benefits and a pension. Officers get 150 hours of vacation, 150 hours of sick leave, 88 hours of holiday leave, three personal holidays and 16 hours of wellness leave. Officers work four 10 hour days in a row, then have three days off. At 10 hrs per day, they have about 43 days of leave per year, if you add up all of their vacation/sick/personal/etc. They can take an additional 120 hours for military leave. Most of my data is from here: https://www.austintexas.gov/apdrecruiting/pay-benefits How dangerous is it to be an Austin Police Officer? I could not find data on officer injuries, but the city lists 29 officers killed in the line of duty from 1875-2025: https://www.austintexas.gov/page/officers-killed-line-duty I count eleven that were killed by gun violence and fourteen killed in a vehicular collision. One had a heart attack. Three were killed by COVID in Fall 2021, which was after vaccines were rolled out. Either they didn't get the shot or were unlucky. The police department has about 1500 officers. It's possible to die on the job as a police officer, but it's not common. You are as likely to be killed in a crash as you are by a gun.
