  1. Past hour
  2. 10-4 Texas early after a failed MSST challenge
  3. Jelani McDonald's play/lack of effort was much worse. If we don't give up that 55-yeard TD, we probably walk away a winner yesterday.
  4. Great atmosphere, definitely worth the hype. Nice people.
  5. I said it during the have yesterday, it's time to let Arch be Arch or Sam or VY. Run some HS shit or Hero ball or whatever...
  6. Those two guys can only hope they have the football career that Earl Thomas, who looked like a moron not even getting himself involved in that play, had
  7. F all that. Let Brooks learn and get better. I dint care what his grade was, he was better than Stroh in that he wasn't getting ragdolled. He might have been swimming and processing slowly due to being a FR-HS, but he wasn't getting treated like a bitch. Let him learn.
  8. What good does this type of argument serve? Caldwell took 4 sec to initiate his throw (0:36 -> 0:32). On the very next play, Arch had to scramble left and still threw the ball within 5 sec of the snap (0:26 -> 0:21). OL was losing its block as Caldwell threw (4 sec). OL was losing its block 3 sec into the play for Arch, so he scrambled left but couldn't complete for the TD (and notably was almost intercepted, no doubt).
  9. Sadly, when a HC is forced to make some hiring and firing decisions it’s typically a season after that (barring major improvement) the HC finds himself fired as well. there are a lot of teams I have my eye on (doing more with less type of thing.) the poor AD at UNT is probably trying to bubble wrap his HC and such. I will never understand why Sark believes he can do both HC and OC. Has he won the big one doing both? No. Very few coaches have and most find themselves forced to hire an OC or a DC and then end up looking for a new gig. Even inventive OCs have to stay on the trends. DCs are figuring out Sark’s stuff on offense and the rest of the stuff not on offense is putrid. In short, he’s failing at both. so my only hope is that some people with real influence sit his ass down and tell him it’s going one of two ways. He can coach up in the booth and retain both roles or there will be a bloodletting. If he’s really this stubborn that he’s going to ignore what all recovering alcoholics know—that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results—and continue on this path he will find himself no longer HC at UT. Eventually land somewhere as OC and win something that way and go back to doing the same shit (minus the drinking) that caused him to have underwhelming and underachieving teams at Washington, USC and currently at Texas. He is floundering and we can all fucking see it. Everything is not fine. He’s either going to adapt or he’s gonna find himself on yet another hot seat. Damn. as far as a list look at teams that have entered the top 25 who aren’t traditionally in the mix. For a coordinator. But it won’t matter a shit bc Sark has been quoted many times as saying calling plays is his superpower and he ain’t gonna give it up.
  10. Who should we believe “statsman” or the world’s authorities on genocide?
  11. The one play where Kobe Black fell down and Jelani McDonald did his best Frankenstein impression trying to tackle their WR should go down in Longhorn history as equally embarrassing as the Crabtree TD play. I thought a Texas team tackling that poorly was behind us.
  12. Had them beat off the snap. And a drop pass. Not a first but helps. This game gonna end up 26-13 or some shit. Ugh
  13. Oh, Bolverk, you always have it all figured out! Question- you call the Gaza war a “genocide”. When I think of genocide, I think of the Holocaust, the Armenians, the Tutsis. If, the Nazis, the Turks or the Hutus had ever offered, in the middle of their genocide, an offer to stop and turn the entire authority to a neutral international body, favorable to the natives, even allowing them to stay where they were but under new authority, the respective Jews, Armenians and Tutsis would have immediately agreed. Hamas hasn’t agreed. Its Allie’s in the west support it in not agreeing. I can only assume they believe they can get a better deal if they wait. Is it possible that this isn’t a genocide, but a war, and it is only called a genocide so as to remove any moral authority from the Israelis?
  14. I'm not going to say setihw yci, because that would be too soon.
  15. Massey Football Rankings has us at #35. Pretty generous.
  16. Thanks guys, I missed the 1940 part.
  17. Arch is like Tommy Boy with his pet roll in the pocket on game day. He cant make a decision. Holds the ball, starts to run but then stops (almost like he has been told not to run and his actively remembering it). The game isnt coming easy to him right now and he is thinking to much instead of reacting. So either we waste this season hoping he figures it out for next year or we switch qbs now. Id prefer to try and win some games this season.
  18. Dak is running. i honestly thought they had him off the snap. LT was beat Don’t throw to Schoonmaker.
  19. Too bad Texas doesn't get USC and Auburn instead of GA and agroid. At least the extra bowl game practice would go a long way in development for next year.
  20. it's 2pm has he been fired yet? the rumors should be floating around already memo to cdc: you better do something fast 6 days and 30 minutes kickoff in fair park
  21. In fairness, he lives in the valley and their HS teams suck. He rarely sees good TXHSFB
