  1. Past hour
  2. Most of my friends are at best deeply concerned, and at most despondent, about the current state of the country. Most are not Democrats or Republicans, just people that want an America that lives up to its values, or at least tries. To date, many have tried to block out the noise of politics while doing the little things they can here and there to try and help get the Country back on track: voting, attending rallies, etc. But it just isn’t working and the morale of people is getting really bad. It seems like we are reaching the point where something significant has to be done by the silent public, to not only effect real change and accountability, but also to help pull people out of their deep mental hole. What is the right action path forward? Anything that is based on just getting behind Democrats will fail in my opinion. They’ve proven to be so ineffective, they kill any momentum. They also have certain viewpoints that will never be supported by enough people to get control of the government. The actions need to be party independent, well thought out, permanent, continuous, and impactful. I’ve thought of a lot of different ideas, such as the creation of organizations that combat all of the disinformation, but frankly the situation is so serious and so big, all of us feel helpless. Is there something that can be done? We don’t want to live like this for the next 20 years, nor do our families. Right now the solution for several of my friends is to live in Europe. They are headed out. For many reasons I hate that. I’m not the type of person to run away from a fight.
  3. I’m not going over this for the 800,000 time in the last 3 years. I’m tired
  4. Hilarious that anyone thinks the household arsenals could hold off the fucking United States military.
  5. Brought this to the immamac recommended thread. i remember the government trying to get SM companies to remove misinformation, not individuals. What am I missing? Elon bot twitter is a good description, though.
  6. Ranger fans can now focus on OU football, they're off to a hot start !!!
  7. Look! He said a decent thing from time to time! That completely negates all the vile, hateful shit he said over and over.
  8. I made the mistake of buying a portion of my holdings in a brokerage account that prevents buying stocks lower than $1. So... no averaging down for a looooong time.
  9. Cancelled our D+/Hulu/ESPN bundle, you couldn't even watch any sports that made a shit with the bundle anyways
  10. Yes, is pretty obvious there are common places they get their bullshit, because when they get riled up, it's always a few hours after the fact, and all of the talking points are identical.
  11. Can't wait to see this one. LA Times: He's made the most incendiary movie of the year. But Paul Thomas Anderson remains an optimist https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/movies/articles/hes-made-most-incendiary-movie-100000774.html
  12. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
  13. He can’t hear you. He’s dead. Probably doesn’t get twitter anymore.
  14. it is super slow motion, so it is easy to make judgements. This is what I am looking at Arch has been flushed and moving up in the pocket. He can gear it down. second later he is not looking at Arch and just running his route appearing to be unaware that Arch is on the move He ends up out here I am just saying I think a more polished veteran WR would recognize his QB has been flushed and would adjust his route, but maybe that is not taught, or they just do not have that type of chemistry. it is not something that is major issue, just some of the little things Texas is not doing as an offense.
  15. hope it goes 24 innings
  16. My daughter is a teacher in Fairfax County, VA. She has always had a pride flag hanging in her classroom. Knowing her, she probably still has it up.
  17. That reminds me ... what's this about 'trans messaging on the casings' that I keep hearing from idiots like Nancy Mace? What exactly is the 'trans messaging' they're referring to, if it exists at all?
  18. If this is a conspiracy, the shooter is never making it to trial and will die in custody. Normally, I let these things play out naturally before making judgement. But those messages are so weird, and so damning if true, that I'd never have included them verbatim in a criminal information. Why would a district attorney ever give the public that much information about a capital murder case that is still actively being investigated? The charging instrument is going to be the first exhibit in the defense's motion for change of venue.
  19. Youre conflating COVID denialism and election conspiracies with state censorship of an unfavored opinion. Denying COVID and telling people to inject bleach and eat deworming paste causes real physical harm. Pointing out that republicans are using Kirk's death to gain political outcomes is not the same. Good lord, do all y'all get the same dog shit newsletter and marching orders? It's remarkable how consistent the profa messaging is
  20. This case does kind of give off Gabby Petito vibes a bit. TMZ is saying just now that D4vd was living in the house that was searched last night. He was fairly well known in music circles hanging out with KATSEYE and Benny Blanco (who is Selena Gomez fiancé—Only Murders much?) TMZ saying they compared the photos of him in a home in this article to pictures of the inside of the home police searched (probably Zillow or something) and they match. https://www.tmz.com/2025/09/18/d4vd-lived-in-house-lapd-homicide-searched/ I posted this crime bc it does appear like an arrest is imminent, so it is like low hanging fruit. Shit is happening rapidly.
  21. Watch your butt, imma.
