    Houston BBQ

these two places are less than a half mile apart, with j bar m less than a mile away. so dumb. j bar m has a lot of events and is set up for smaller live music shows, bbq is avg. willow is dumping lot of $$ into that building, and it's been on going for sometime. they nees to push the bar, hard. (the panadería across the street is good, never tried their tacos but their pan dulce is good). the eastbound spot has shitty parking. it's on at a busy 'point' all are less than a mile from me, but i'll goto pinkeron's when i want bbq Willow’s Smokehouse & Tavern Pitmaster Willow Vilarreal and his partner Jasmine Barela will turn their pop-up into a brick-and-mortar restaurant at this new concept in the historic L.M. Greco building (4109 Mckinney). Expect all the Central Texas-style barbecue and sides the duo is known for, alongside burgers, wings, sandwiches, and bar bites. Pair them with cocktails, craft beer, micheladas, and a range of spirits. “Ultimately we want this to be an environment where our neighbors will look forward to winding down their day, time and time again. Like Cheers but with Lone Stars and brisket sandwiches,” Villarreal explains. Eastbound Barbecue This project in the former East End Backyard space (1105 Sampson St.) unites Killen’s Restaurants alumni Ryan Penn, Ryan Powell, Luis Lopez, and Jake Granville. Already drawing crowds to pop-ups, the quartet is serving dishes such as rosemary salt-spiced brisket, Tex-Italian sausage, Cuban-style mojo pork, and soon-to-be-famous hatch chili mac & cheese lasagna.
  3. Geezus, man, I'm really sorry that happened. Truly. That sucks. **** So, I've quoted only the stuff from your post that I'd like to address: I'm kinda in the same boat as you, often traveling around the country, and also having a local credit union. It used to be that I'd get calls from Calcutta or wherever from an unrecognized number. The first time it happened, I didn't answer (for obvious reasons) and was then quickly surprised when my card didn't work at the gas pump. I then called the 1-800 number on the back of the card, and they itemized the questionable transactions specifically, asking if I had authorized each one, like checking off boxes. All of them were good, and they released my card. Nowadays, I also get text alerts, like you, asking me to call a number to verify transactions. Again, they are the ones who tell me, unprompted, which specific transaction raised a red flag, and I only tell them whether or not I approved the purchase. Based solely on the above, I'd say your trick in the future should be along the lines of simply asking what raised a red flag, making them disclose whether they're legit or not. Again, I'm really sorry you got fucked and hope this doesn't put you out too badly or linger as a pain in the ass.

    Florida Gators

I expect to see a full DJ, helping to rally the team for Billy. Expect nothing but the Gators best in two weeks. If we come out with a 1pt victory, I’ll call it a success. A “W” is a “W,” score be damned, just saying. Hook’em!!!
  5. ANTIFA !!!!!!
  6. lovely ....
  7. Argentina's been doomed since Rosas. I'd probably like it there.
  8. He does a great job each week. Thanks for sharing. Hook’em!!!
  9. He's up to the challenge. And this is what will end up happening.
  10. I need to adopt my Mom's technique from back in the 90s. They'd pester her on the phone, she'd tell everybody "Just mail me the info." It shut down land-slides of shit.
  11. Fuck Sinclair. Why would Kimmel give a contribution to a political group he probably strongly disagrees with? Because Sinclair is owned by a MAGA family and wants to censor speech critical of the president. They need to break up these media conglomerates. We need to go back to the Fairness Doctrine, and limited ownership of newspapers, radio stations and TV stations.
  12. He does such a great job, and so quick each week, to keep his series fresh. All by himself. Like him more than SEC Shorts, even though I like their weekly “group” production. I think they have more Money backing their production success. Hook’em!!!.
  13. Leaving my black 4Runner out in the rain cleaned it up lickety-split.

She’s fantastic (the niece). I never saw CODA but apparently she was in that.
  17. Trump needs a distraction, so this is really bad timing for Leon - might just get him called up in front of Congress.

  20. That’s weird. The YouTube clips are released in real-time as the program is actually being aired. It’s tonight’s show. The interview is always a second clip, so you get to watch the entire episode.
  21. Yeah, I don't think there's much disagreement there at all. I do feel like we have some deep ball threats. Maybe not to the extent Worthy/Bond/Golden were, or even Mitchell. But I feel like Wingo can be more of that dude than he has been so far, and Livingstone has shown he can beat people deep. But he has to be able to make the throws to wide open receivers, which is not just about making the actual throw. It's about seeing it as well. The game still needs to slow down for him. But that's something of a different part of the equation from the yips. Colt McCoy needed the game to slow down for him before he went from what he was his first two years to what he became as a junior and senior. But he wasn't missing wide open guys in his first two years. He was simply not seeing the coverages as well as he did later on. And he increased his accuracy to inhuman levels, and even quickened his release, when it was already really good. But yeah. Manning doesn't need to be elite. He just can't be awful. And those first three games he was awful. The competition wasn't a factor, whether it was Ohio State or UTEP. In any case, an awful Manning can put all kinds of stress on the offense, regardless of opponent. My main point wasn't about Manning, though. It was about Florida. They're either on the precipice and we just need to push them off, or they've already jumped off the cliff, and we just need to hand them a bag of rocks so they'll drop faster and hit harder once they reach the ground. Like they say, it's not the fall that hurts, it's when you reach the ground.
  22. I ate there a couple of times and it was great. I love Korean food. Helped that I spent so much time at Park MGM.
  23. Is Woods gone to the draft this year? That’s one I wanted to see head our way last year
  24. lulz hahaha "Libertarians” always fail because libertarianism does not exist—except in the minds of spoiled manchildren whose brains stopped maturing at puberty. Every. Single. Time. There is no country today that is fully or purely libertarian, as the ideology prioritizes personal and economic freedom beyond the scope of any existing state . Instead, some nations are considered more libertarian due to their higher levels of economic freedom, protection of civil liberties, or a tradition of decentralized government.
  25. I think that he no longer needs his needle valves in his stems. A good Samaritan would remove them for him.
