  2. As a fan, I don’t understand this thought process. I hope Jim Crane personally writes a check for his remaining salary if it gets a better prospect in any trade which helps the Astros win major league games. I don’t care if Crane and partners make money, etc. Cohen hasn’t been able to buy the Mets a championship yet - but I would much rather have ownership take a view similar to what the Mets did with Verlander. That deal only gets done if the Mets pay a good chunk of his salary and in return, the Mets get better prospects in return.
  3. I almost hate to say this, but texags has a really cool cfb picks game they run: https://texags.com/pickoff Any chance we could get something like that on here, imma?
  4. Exactly. It’s tough to please these fair weathered fans
  5. Pulling for him to be a permanent Rocket. Dude has been busting his ass in Maine the last couple of years.
  6. Good thing I'm not running for office.
  7. Because every single one of them can imagine being unemployed.
  8. They are also focusing on it because that was absolutely a winning message in the 2018 midterms. Trump and the Rs tried to take away your ACA plans and you should vote for us. The message now is Trump and the ads want to make your healthcare more expensive and we’re trying to reduce your costs.
  9. She's had a bad day. But it plays well with MAGA, so it doesn't matter.
  10. Cis-het?
  11. I heard the Gator Bites were somewhat questionable.
  12. Wait, Tony Evans was into pedo stuff?
  13. Jesus shit, Cincy.

    The Mo Bamba Song

Wow. A real explanation of music theory and answer to the question.
  15. They're so arrogant and untouchable that they don't even bother to turn off their body cams anymore.
  16. A few years ago, I remember reading of a guy who got vibrio wade fishing in the fall. The funny thing is he was wearing waders and got vibrio on his leg.
  17. I may largely agree with that, but it gets a giant "incomplete." Because what Israel SHOULD be worried about is what comes next. Every person - especially young person - that lived in Gaza during this war is now much more likely to be a future terrorist attacking Israel some years from now. I cannot imagine an outcome OTHER than Israel just radicalizing hundreds of thousands of people against it. And, in the process, losing its positive relationship with functionally all of its western allies except the US. I believe that Israel did a terrible job calculating the long-term costs. I see a world where 10 years from now, young adults who were radicalized by the inhumane and criminal attacks on them as civilians attack Israel and its interests wherever they can. Suicide vests on busses, all the hits. And my kids' generation will see the story on the news, and shrug their shoulders with a "well, what did you expect?" The self-inflicted harm Israel has done to itself will play out for decades to come. It didn't have to be that way. But for Bibi and his short-term political survival, it apparently DID have to be that way.
  18. We have a compounding issue. The OL is not good at blocking, which means we're often behind the sticks. When we're behind the sticks, we have to run longer developing plays. Blocking for these longer developing plays goes back to point 1, except they have to hold up even longer. So we end up in a feedback loop where getting behind the sticks means there's an extremely high chance of the drive being doomed.
  19. Here's a clip of it:
  20. Ok, but for the sake of this thread (and my question), it seems like focusing their energy on a topic that could affect 24 million people when about 180 million people get their healthcare through their employers...
