We have yet to field an elite OL since Flood came to Texas. Granted the last couple of years weren't an abomination like this year, they still folded like cheap tents when we played the elite teams. Flood should not get any benefit of the doubt at this point. He has had plenty of time to correct a lingering and worsening issue.

Everything is Shit: Tracking the Great Enshittening

There has been no subsidy for consumer pricing on silicon, it's not just that there is no evidence of this, but it's easy to refute because the prices for consumer products in memory per gb are demonstrably higher than what hyperscalers buy at scale with long term agreements. The main issue with this isn't supply/demand dynamics, it's an artificial demand bump and an intentional supply shortage. The primary thing that will happen from this which benefits only the hyperscalers and memory companies will be that there won't be memory available for consumer PCs. What has happened is people can run their own inference for cheaper than buying a cloud service and they are trying to remove the option for most people and have it be inaccessible. The rest of the consumer PC market be damned. The cost of a single board computer including all components - even the CPU and storage is $35 and now the memory alone will cost $35 dollars. This will either put the SBC manufacturer out of business with no margins or they will increase price and the value won't be there for the typical consumer of those items. This is way beyond normal commodity cycle things, this is intentional scarcity that impacts individual consumers and not large corporate entities by design. -
Yep. Every conference champ gets in and you still have 14 at large slots. First two rounds in campus. No I don't care if bowls die.

Not to worry, Texans will use their first two draft picks in the upcoming draft on defensive tackles to address this issue.

The only thing I've seen says they'll announce "the locations and times" at 11a CT Saturday - maybe that's because most cities are hosting games from two groups (Seattle's are B and G). We'll definitely know which teams are in which groups today, but maybe not which group games are where. Seattle (and Vancouver) being exactly equidistant between Europe and Asia, it will be interesting to see who gets placed in the PNW.

Holy shit you dipshits: 9-3 Texas is probably in the playoffs

Mack is not a friend of the program. The best outcome for Mack is for Sark to fail. Seems to be a bright guy, just reckless. But nowhere near the athlete that Cam was though -
She seems like she’s a fun person… Olivia Miles probably thinks so too.

Yall have no skins on the wall this year. Your best win is USC. Texas has beaten the team you lost to and beat two other teams rated higher than USC. Yall would be lucky to break 17 points against us.

Gave up another last minute G last week and lost at shitty Hamburg. 😡😡 Have to stop that nonsense and learn to button up late. Another Pokal W on Weds, and we're into the quarters. My man Deniz is carrying us right now. He's gotta get some help tomorrow vs the Evil Empire of the Bundesliga - Bayern Munchen.

The problem with the current format is there are too many AQs for only 12 spots. If you want that many then you need to expand. Just use the same AQ model and expand to 24-team format like FCS. Everyone will still bitch about the 24th team just like they do the 68th in the basketball tournament, but at least you don't have too many shitty teams blocking more worthy P4 teams.

Car Accident Insurance Action

Thanks. So far the other carrier is being reasonable, and the body shop says they have had claims handled by them that haven't been difficult. -

Turkey carcass is on. Couldn't fit the entire neck so I broke it off, browned it and vac sealed half of it to freeze for round 2 in a few months. -
Imagine if you're on the open waters and your boat suddenly explodes and you find yourself flung a dozen feet away from an upside down boat. Do you decide to swim the miles back to shore which is out of sight, or do you immediately grab onto any large floating object like an upside down boat? You would be the most dedicated drug runner in the world if your immediate thought is to flip the boat and continue on your mission. And FYI, it's impossible for someone to flip a boat of that size.

Funny thing is, any level of football I have been involved with or watched has always struggled with the issue of unequal strength of schedules and the bitching that one school/team has faced a more difficult regular season schedule and another has benefitted from an easier schedule argument. No league and level of sport does more to try to mitigate levels of competition be it through the draft process, hard salary cap, and weighted scheduling than the NFL and yet we still see the same arguments. Not to the same extreme as at the lower levels, but it is always going to be there so whatever system you employ stop trying to address this issue. No one forced the SEC to load up on teams, they did it because of money and the perceived advantages and yet this time of year we hear the argument about how difficult it is playing in the SEC. Deal with it. No guaranteed bids outside of conference winners simply because if you don't then why play the regular season. I do like the FCS model of playing most of the games on campus to award the better teams and truthfully I think any number outside of 16 is too many rounds. Whatever model is developed should only be implemented if there is no committee and there is no weekly fucking show that talks about the hypothetical rankings that really don't matter.

Texas Recruiting Notes 2026: Boulevard of Broken Bagmen

I want to say the latter, but LSU promised lane Kiffin a giant NIL war chest, and this would be a massive proof of concept get for them -
Won't we know the location of the games but probably not the times?
-
There is nothing wrong with 12 personnel inherently, but the key for this formation is having TE versatility. You really want guys that can block and run routes. Texas has continually had issues with blocking from the TEs. That limits the effectiveness of the formation.

Since that game is against a pot 2 team, the USA’s possible opponents are Croatia, Morocco, Colombia, Uruguay, Switzerland, Japan, Senegal, Iran, South Korea, Ecuador, Austria and Australia - mostly pretty good matchups. Since I live here, I'm hoping to go to a match or two, but probably won't be that one. It looks as though we won't actually know where the vast majority of games will be played until tomorrow morning, though, as they're trying to set optimal TV times for as many countries as possible.
