I remember Gil was one of my mom's favorite actors.. I also remember 10 year old Dennis Taylor being a big fan of Erin Gray

Baby Scott seems like a likable enough guy but it’s impossible to say anything definitive about him as a coach because he’s just a patsy. A company man. He wasn’t hired to win football games or implement culture or anything like that, he was hired because he makes Jerry feel comfortable. It’s not possible for him and he probably has no desire anyway to step outside of the parameters that have been set for him.

This has more lyrical substance to it than anything that Dave Grohl ever wrote.

Listening to Sam's Town again and... man. It reminds me why I started this thread. I mean this album completely blows away anything The Foo Fighters ever put out. Here's maybe like the 7th best song off of Sam's Town.

Wow. That was my original design way back. If you guys need the original file I might still have it around.

Also, Andrew Tate claimed he bet on himself to lose and made a ton of money, implying he "fixed the fight." Last I checked, you go to jail for that. So all women and all bookies hate you. What a slimeball.

Was glorious seeing Jake Paul get handed his ass by Anthony Joshua. Pretty sure these are real Tweets (not on X), but the photos are real and speak for themselves.

Roth would be the guy to read and listen to here. He’s far and away the best political writer we have in America. Not even a close 2nd to his work. I asked him a similar question to this at one of Defector’s birthday parties about how he understands this stuff so well and the answer more/less was rich people are lazy.

Edit: His kid or wife good have been ill. Anyone that's had a child or decent wife knows how this can scare you. I do realize there are a fair portion on you that wife sick - cha-ching let that bitch suffer some. Fairly certain he needed a bit of time for one or a combo of those. I never knew he took a bit of time but hope it helped him.

On ADVrider there is an absolutely epic ride across Siberia by user Colebatch. It is worth finding and reading, just be aware it will take days of your life. -
Yep. Make no mistake about it, these fucks would build Auschwitz 2.0 (probably even name it that) if they thought they could get away with it. Silver lining is, the US is way more diverse and populous than 1930s Germany so straight up genocide wouldn't fly, which is why they're having to use ICE to pick away at the most vulnerable people in the margins.

Only speculation but the man has had a rough marriage. Going from getting divorced, ok we're going to work on it to having a kid. Anyone that has been married for a bit of time knows such a public getting divorced to all the other things is very odd. I've seen these things break people for a time. His job is hard. There are no days off. Stress can beat you down from this alone add in the above stuff. He may have just needed a mental break. He's also a recovering alcoholic. There's a reason those support groups have mentor type people. That never goes away. Maybe he needed a bit of time with recentering himself considering how much he was dealing with. Or shit, maybe he had COVID. All just ideas - no facts. But those are things that can beat a person down. I really like Sark and how he represents Texas. I'm cheering for him and respect the man. Now there has to be a badass OL coach we can money whip out there?

I’ll gladly admit that this is not an area I am as well-versed in as others. I’ll gladly listen to others on this and what they think because the economics that undergird a society is always a complex issue. I think this is especially true in a country as multicultural as ours. We have had a dominant race economically (whites) since our inception. Now we HAVE to share that pie. I am in favor of that. We all live once and we should, for the sake of wanting a thriving multicultural society, want to see the wealth spread. Everyone benefits from that. We are hurting as a society monetarily because we have a small percentage hoarding wealth while many of the rest of us are left to fight over scraps. It’s ridiculous on its face that the wealthiest country in the history of the world has so many people either already living in poverty or just a missed check away from the poorhouse. To me this is a sign of when a society will lose its moorings if things do not change. You cannot have a small class of people worth hundreds of millions to several hundred billion and expect that society to be thriving. This should be a shared concern for everyone. I feel the angst needs to be directed there because that old quote comes to mind of a house divided against itself cannot stand. This doesn’t mean I support disenfranchised white men vs. minorities looking for their fair share of the pie. We all, college educated or not, need to look at the cartoon villains holding all the money tha holds our society back from realizing its promise of having an actual American dream instead of the nightmare it has become for millions of people. That sucks to me because we get this one chance at life and a small group of folks want the super majority of it for themselves. We can do better I think.
