  1. Past hour
  2. Like I said, a lot of you seem to value a wide variety of things other than championships. Fortunately for you, Sark and Del Conte agree with you. I wish a home loss (it it happens) this coming September to Ohio State could feel mitigated to me by a triumphant Citrus Bowl victory over a ramshackle Michigan roster. I'm just not wired that way.
  3. Okay - We are doing a big change tonight going into tomorrow. I plan on doing some firefighting this weekend, but right now it doesn't seem like there are any critical blockers. I've been using the shit out of the new test site and all the core functionality is there and available. I'll be enabling rep comments tomorrow as well. The site may be a little wonky for a day or so as things all get rebuilt in the background - so expect some slowness or some things like feeds not to render properly. Forums - Surly Horns Give it a spin early if you'd like.
  4. Greens is right for once, Baxter never really flashed when healthy. Seemingly good dude but didn’t have anything special.
  5. Megyn Kelly dishes ferocious attack on former Fox News costar as religious spat blows up in MAGA ranks https://www.dailymail.co.uk/media/article-15413329/megyn-kelly-mark-levin-jack-posobiec.html
  6. Gold has outperformed the s and p 500 the last three years
  7. Team rushing ranking of 101 doesn’t help matters either. I wonder if that means Jadan Baugh is coming. Why else leave?
  8. Arch is a leader. He’s not going to sit on the sidelines.
  9. You are apparently a “title-ist” as a fan. Titles or it sucks, right? That kind of shit is insufferable. I happen to love CFB in general. I like big games. I like bowl games. I like seeing stars play. Not having fun as a fan unless a title is won is the hubris of which you lament. Thinking that that should be so regular that it should be the only expectation is sad yet laughable. Good luck with it, though. We’re all excited to see your future Cassandrian posts in which you tell us you saw difficult game X loss coming and no one would listen.
  10. I'm more annoyed with the tampering than anything else. I get that UT is doing just like others but that's the main thing I'd like to see solved but it's also the hardest thing to solve
  11. Difficult for me. He was the heart and soul of this team imo. Arguably won the OU game for us this year with his ability to make the first man miss. I don't take players like that for granted. He'll be missed.
  12. Where are you getting the idea that he didn’t crack the top 5?
  13. I think the NIL is damaging the sport, but I also think UT would be foolish not to play the game while it’s still the Wild West. I’d love for it to be reined in, but until then…
  14. Just look at the top SEC rushers this year. 1. Ahmad Hardy- transfer from Louisiana-Monroe 2. Kewan Lacy- transfer from Mizzu 3. Baugh 4. Mike Washington- transfer New Mexico State 5. Desean Bishop 6. Cobb 7. Pavia- transfer 8. Wisner 9. Frazier 10. Seth McGowan- tranfer New Mexico State You also have Fluff Bothwell #12. transfer South Alabama There is lot of good RBs that come available. I am probably in the minority, but I am not someone that wants to see Texas in a bidding war for Baugh.
  15. Yes? It’s about as hard to follow as nightmare on elm street
  16. Seeing Tech in the playoffs and us in a meaningless exhibtition, because our hubris kept us in a road OOC game that should have been shifted to a home game against a cake opponent, is joyless for me. The real question is, why isn't it joyless for you? Of course we should be playing this exhibition game. The extra practices are crucial. QB is a unique and special position, and Arch should not be put at risk. An argument can be made that Colin Simmons should also not see the field. Everyone else should play. As for your reference to next season's Ohio State game, that game still being on our schedule proves that some unhealthy blend of hubris & stupidity is driving our program leadership. It should be another cake game to get our players ready for the conference schedule next year, which looks to be rough. A lot of you seem to value a wide variety of things other than championships.
  17. aw man love me some wisner. dude has heart and that is very much needed in a locker room. he is the rival killer, and yes he was limited as a traditional RB in this scheme. but he is an excellent 3rd down back and makes swings 20 yard plays. see the huge play against the paperclips in the3rd i believe.
  18. @PTINS might find that interesting.
  19. I’ve found that being a borderline sociopath has actually benefitted me as a fan of CFB over the past 4 years. Seeing things develop for what they are and not being burdened with sentiment enabled me to find a path in the chaos that ultimately helped in all of the change. I do understand not liking the business and purely transactional aspects of it all. The thing everyone needs to either remind themselves of or realize is that there was a major transactional component before all of this, going on almost 20 years, and Texas and many other schools were being fucked because of it. The whole “having integrity and not being a shitty fucking cheater” thing kept routinely getting in the way. Once that’s framed right in one’s mind, it makes it all easier to swallow. I know you know this, but there are others who do not seem to grasp any of it.
  20. After this game it’s going to feel like 13 years before the next Texas game and a long nightmare. I can’t wait i hate the off season that’s coming
  21. This bowl is going to be interesting. Clark and Simon are going to have their job interviews. We may see a target in Jordan Marshall from Michigan. I would love to see him in a Texas uniform next year. 85.5 PFF grade. No idea if he is looking around, but I would check the tires there.
