  1. Crash. The '96 fucked up Croneberg joint not to be confused with that steaming pile that actually won Best Picture in '04
  2. I enrolled in '82 and graduated in '86. I'm from a small town in Southeast TX so I told myself I'd soak up everything Austin had to offer. Missed shows by the Clash, REM and the Pixies, et al, all or most at Liberty Lunch but at the Erwin Center caught the Van Halen 1984 show, U2 on the Unforgettable Fire Tour (not the biggest U2 fan but the Unforgettable Fire slams hard) and Blind Melon and the Smashing Pumpkins in '91 at Southpark Meadows
  3. As far as I can tell they try to make her less than an absolute smoke show by fucking with her eyebrows. Nonetheless I'd still fuck her right in the eyebrows
  4. Sometimes you gotta put yourself in the mind of a baby mama killer. Put yourself in that place so to speak. Only been to Utah once and that was for a changeover going to Canada to shoot at massive whitetail bucks. Mormon Tabernacle extremely impressive from the air. That being said it I ever killed my baby mama and didn't want to get caught Utah immediately comes to mind
  5. Not a big fashion guy and if you ever met me that wouldn't be disputed but damn the clothes. Especially whatever Kaya Scodelario wears. Can't cover up that hot ass
  6. And what you say about his company Is what you say about society Catch the witness, catch the wit Catch the spirit, catch the spit
  7. Also what do Yoko and starving people in Africa have in common?
  8. I'm old enough to remember Howard Cosell announcing John Lennon getting assassinated. Terrible. Team McCartney here. Don't remember him beating women like Lennon admitted to doing. Never got all the love. Also All You Need Is Love? Easy for a multimillionaire/billionaire to sing
  9. I think I'm what they call a primitive artist. In my case it is strictly unintentional
  10. I hear you but Adidas is a combination of aggy and Nazi Germany. Can't force myself to draw those 3 stripes
  11. I've got a buddy about a decade older than me who attended in the 70s. Plan II and obviously whip smart. Graduated law school with honors here while my not so smart ass was relegated to Lubbock when the powers that be finally detected my dumbassedness. Anyway I've got friends who attended in the 70s, 80s (me), 90s etc. and they all had fond memories but the 70s absolutely ruled. Best movies, TV and music ever
  12. For those slightly interested in insomnia The Rover is playing now. Now Mr. Jimmy Page is definitely top 3 for me guitar hero wise and he shreds the absolute shit out of this one. Then he adds that little extra bit at the end. He didn't have to do that but he did anyway
  13. This hits close to home for me. When I was a kid the local Methodist Church in their questionable wisdom anointed me and a couple of my junior high buddies to be camera operators to serve literally dozens of nursing home patients and other shut ins. Even at a young age we quickly figured out when the preacher would be moving around and when we could lock the cameral and switch the monitor to either Mid South wrasslin' out of Lake Charles (Ric Flair, Junkyard Dog, Free Birds, et al) or the channel 13 Million Dollar Movie out of Houston. Tough call but if the Million Dollar Movie was a Godzilla it was Godzilla hands down. The only problem was we'd get so enraptured with Mid South wrasslin' or Godzilla we'd forget to unlock the camera after the sermon and the preacher started moving around again. Drew literally dozens of complaints if the local cable company was to be trusted
  14. When I'm out walking the dogs occasionally we encounter a tumble bug that naturally fascinates all of us. I think about aggy and Trev whenever I see a tumble bug
  15. The first time I saw it was back when I knew a stewardess I mean flight attendant with a huge baggie of Hawaiian weed. We camped out in an overpriced hotel room that she paid for naturally because I'm a natural born bum and smoked it up and fucked like bunnies all weekend. This was back when they used to have the "Soul Bowl" between Texas Southern and some other school. Can't remember. Too much Hawaiin weed smoked Anyhow even with all the stank and noise we didn't even stand out. Good times Also loved LA Confidential
  16. I've got insomnia BTW. I'm listening to my Led Zeppelin playlist really, really loud and keep telling myself I'll go to sleep once I hit a weak song but there ain't any except Thank You and that's not on my playlist
  17. My dream is to give it to Earl but he probably can afford better works of art
  18. Our art teacher Mr. Snell was a verified alcoholic. Good to know he wasn't the only one who dug my artwork
  19. I loved the Tyler Rose to say the least. Let me know what you think about my autism er I mean artisticness allsomeness
  20. In my efforts to further derail this thread from gravity/humility whatever I offer my 60 year old reflections. Went down to Rainey St with a buddy this pm who fortunately was paying for all way too much food and booze and other stuff that's only OK in Austin. Southwest Fest is going on and I used to have my internal compass set on that. Attended the first one in 95 or 96(?) and ended up at Sholz Garten smoking a hog leg Bob Marley with a friend in the great wide open. Gotta admit I was insufferably paranoid at the time but not so surprised nobody gave a shit especially the police. I graduated from UT in the 80s when the only law was the Golden Rule. Ecstasy was perfectly legal. The doorman at any club on 6th Street could sling it in full view of the local popo without any repercussions whatsoever. Developed in the chemistry department at UT the same time frame as it was at UC Berkeley as I understand it but in my defense I was full of drugs at the time. Some things never change Anywho I guess the point of my old man yelling at clouds rant is that what I consider hipster doofuses were actually welcoming. I was an elected persecutor in southeast TX for 12 years, an assistant DA for 3 counties out that way and a county attorney pro tem when the elected one developed brain cancer God rest his soul. If you've followed my boring trevails I somehow ended up back in the 512 somehow. Like Brer Rabbit used to tell Brer Fox "don't throw me in that briar patch" until Walt Disney censored that shit and last time I checked Uncle Remus, the African American gent at the center of all that controversy was actually the fucking hero Again I'll discontinue my threadshitting and just thank the Good Lord above for this blue island in a sea of unreasonably red (no CR intended that it is what it is. Much love to all of you and yours but you're all surly assholes so enjoy hell
  21. Dammit I thought it was at that yogurt shop that used to be by GM Steakhouse
  22. Yep. Fortunately not my buddy's corpse. It was right across the Drag from the yogurt shop where those girls got murdered. I can't recall if they ever solved that
  23. I remember when Eric Metcalf and a few other players got popped for getting free fill ups at the gas station at the intersection of MLK and the Drag my buddy worked at. Small potatoes obviously. Naturally aggy used to compare it to giving Eric Dickerson a free Trans Am
  24. If not already mentioned the world wide leader had a feature last weekend about a Chefs fan that did the whole face painting and cosplay thing. Turned out he was a bank robber. Would get arrested, escape, arrested, escape, wash, rinse, repeat. When he got caught the final time he apologized to "Chefs Nation", not the half dozen bank tellers he stuck a pistol in the face of. Their fans are a special kind of special
