  1. We've had more 100 degree days in September than in June, July, and August combined. Don't let the door hit you on the way out, blastfurnace.
  2. Lulz. I'm the complete opposite of fat. Eat a sandwich, you skinny little thing you.
  3. Well that’s some shit, because we pretty much all though the O Line was shitty.
  4. Well, Furk. But I haven’t been there in about 10 years, so I’m definitely part of the problem.
  5. Try 99. https://twitter.com/NWSSanAntonio/status/1438982406623617027
  6. I wish. Bill in Sinton died. HOOK EM HIGH LIKE SN EAGLE SOARS
  7. I saw him there as well - I think it must have been the same show - but it was more than 10 years ago if my memory is correct - pretty sure I was still in law school, and I graduated from law school in 2009. If it was after law school it was not long after, and it was def before I met my wife (we've been married 8 years). Best in person stand up I've ever seen (and I saw Mitch Hedberg live).
  8. Damn. I saw him live at the Cap City Comedy Club back in law school. I was telling my wife (I didn't meet her until several years later) that it was the best live stand up I've ever seen, and if he ever came back through town post-COVID we would make a point to see him. RIP Norm, you were one funny dude.
  9. That’s not what I said at all. Nice straw man argument though.
  10. Why you shopping at my H‑E‑B? You got a thing for Jewbs?
  11. I just signed up for Sling for football season so I caught up on the show. Maybe watching them one-a-day and not dissecting them for a week between episodes helps, but I don’t get all the teeth gnashing about it. I thought it was a solid season. Better than the trash the Longhorns rolled out in Fayetteville, that’s for damn sure.
  12. But are they Big Ass Fans? I have been; they are not. I just love that brand name.
  13. Wood goes in the firebox, not on the grill.
  14. I'm from Castroville. Can confirm that is not what it looks like.
  15. I went with Sling, but I also have a Tivo Edge (got it on sale when they did the All-In lifetime service for $99 promotion) that replaced my 7+ year old Roamio; and I didn't even try Sling for the game since it was on Fox. I know I've recommended the Tivo for people who cut the cord, but I'll do it again here - it's very good, and going from he Roamio to the Edge was a big jump (not that the Roamio was bad, the Edge is just up to current standards). And you get the ability to record the games OTA, pause, rewind etc. if your'e watching live. The biggest drawback is the monthly fee, but they run lifetime service promotions at least once a year.
  16. The best fries are double fried from fresh. There’s an Alton Brown episode about it that goes into the science.
  17. Me too. I also take out a $250k term life policy after each kiddo is born, on top of all my other life insurance - that’s their college find of anything happens to me (my wife has about $1.5mm in other insurance from my work and personal policies on top of that, and my SS payments to her and the kids would be significant). She’d have to go back to work most likely, but the mortgage would be paid for and she’d have enough to hire help. I don’t like to think about that, and I’m definitely worth more alive, but it gives me some measure of comfort.
