Do I look like I am joking?
Seriously though. It dragged. Pablo's in his self made prison. Lets drag that out for three episodes be cause we still have 4 more episodes until the season ends.
Lets make up some unneeded drama by having the main character get kidnapped, then released, and everything's fine. That'll take care of one episode.
Its the same problem over and over with a lot of these shows. Good premise, starts off good, generally good acting, then the writers start mailing it in. The first season of Dark Winds had the same problem.
I also thought the voice over narration was unneeded. The plot was pretty straight forward. It felt like the narration was just tacked on for the people who watch their phones more than the TV, and can't follow a plot and need help. Good for them I guess, but it takes away from the quality of the show. Also, it seemed that a couple of times the narration was used to explain the plot hole away. Just do away with the narration, and don't have plot holes.
(The narration in Blade Runner, for example, was also not needed. It was added later because the studios though the audience was too dumb to understand what was going on without it. If that's the case, the solution is a better script/writing/editing/whatever, not narration.)
