  1. I highly recommend eating some turtle after visiting the Turtle Centre. Putting conservation into action (and your mouth).
  2. She's cracking me up with her "Honestly, Jesus still loves me" statements after having sex before marriage. She seems very torn between banging hot guys vs staying on the straight and narrow Christian path.

Someone needs to bring back the sushi trailer that was in front of Lowe's about a year or two ago. That trailer made me laugh every time I walked by it.
  4. Just went to T&C in April. If you want the "picture of the Caribbean beach on postcards" experience, go to Chalk Sound. Amazingly beautiful. Taxis are crazy expensive. Even the official T&C tourist website recommends not taking a taxi. We rented a car. I enjoyed turning on the windshield wipers repeatedly when I was trying to use the turn signal (cause it's reversed). Also using a turn signal and not just pulling out in front of other cars makes you a tourist. As recommended above, if you are up for an adventure, go to North Caicos/Middle Caicos on the ferry and rent a car. Dragon Cay beach has a huge cave on the beach and Bambarra is shallow and you can walk to a giant sandbar. We stayed for a few days in North Caicos and that was very interesting. It's a whole different lifestyle on North/Middle compared to Provo. Chinson's Grill is tasty. Friendly people but not much atmosphere. Groceries are expensive:
  5. This season of bachelorette is so boring and the guys so bland that my wife is actually getting tired of the show. So that's good news.
  6. Chicken or steak bowl at Cabo Bob's on Anderson Goat soup and goat meat at Taco More (Parkfield and Rundberg) Lots of breakfast options at La Casita (Anderson Ln by railroad tracks) Gyro meat on salad at Halal Bros (Braker by Metric)
  7. I felt the same way. Seemed like we were missing 10 minutes of exposition.
  8. Will Smith made two movies - I Am Legend and Hancock. Both movies start strong but the second half is atrocious. Each movie is 1/2 of a good movie. My brilliant idea - combine the two movies! Drunk, 'doesn't give a shit' superhero vs thousands of zombies.
  9. A question about Black Summer:

I fell on that grenade. Went there about two weeks ago. It's very okay. It has the normal broccoli and beef & kung pao chicken type dishes on the menu plus a few spicier dishes, like spicy fish. The american chinese dishes were okay and the few other spicier dishes were slightly above average. The meal was nothing memorable. If someplace close is the number one priority, it'll do. I'd rather drive the extra 10 minutes to Rice Bowl Cafe.

Halal Bros or Halal Corner There are some more to try but those are the best (to me) so far
  12. Good news about exercising later in life: If people start to exercise in midlife, even if they have not worked out for years, they can rapidly gain most of the longevity benefits of working out. https://www.nytimes.com/2019/03/27/well/move/what-your-exercise-habits-might-say-about-how-long-youll-live.html?action=click&module=Discovery&pgtype=Homepage
  13. So we can apricots and cheese to the extensive list of things that Colton is afraid of.
  14. Quadrangle in San Antonio http://www.jbsa.af.mil/library/visitorinformation.asp See cool military history and feed the wildlife
  15. His biggest fear is women. Handsome heterosexual man in the NFL who is a virgin. His biggest fear is women.
  16. Better Off Dead
  17. As good as Spider-Man 2...maybe even better.
  18. I have a Roku and had a Tablo. My experience with a Tablo was mixed. It's easy to setup and the app is straightforward. But it had trouble streaming to my Roku - buffering, drops, etc. And it's expensive - you are paying $200 and still need a USB drive. In the end, I returned the Tablo and bought a $30 box off Amazon that connects via HDMI to the TV. The interface is horrible but it's $30.
  19. Loud. Dumb. Explosions. Zombies. Nazis. Zombie Nazis. Running. Gunfire. Went in with those expectations and beer and was happy.
  20. Went in with medium hope and left with less hope. I felt I was watching a well filmed and produced educational film made for middle schoolers.
  21. Some ideas that my kids always enjoy. Some have already been mentioned. Rent bikes and bike along waterfront Go the Wave Organ. It's an interesting art piece in the Marina District neighborhood. If you go, go at around high tide. Also has great views of the bay and the Golden Gate bridge. Go to Chinatown and walk on Stockton St. Stop in the fruit/veggie markets, fish markets, get some snacks. Taking the 30 bus to get there is very interesting. Grant St has the souvenir shops while Stockton St is where people go to shop. Go on a SF CityGuide walking tour. Lots of different topics and they have good guides. Free with a donation. Go to the Farmer's Market on Saturday morning at the Ferry Building. Go around the back to the food stands, get some breakfast/lunch and enjoy a great view of the Bay Bridge while eating Musee Mechanique - cool old arcade games from the 1920's to 90's. Cable Car Museum - a fun stop to see how it all works If your kid needs to blow off steam, there's a nice playground close by the Ferry Building (Sue Bierman Park). There's a fun playground in the Yerba Buena park - https://yerbabuenagardens.com/childrens-playground-like-no-other-in-sf/ Coit Tower is okay - it has a good view but once you are done with that, there's not much else there. Exploratorium - Science based kid museum. Tons of hands on kid activities
  22. Colton is the new Bachelor. Another emotionally immature boring kid. This may be the final straw for my wife. Hopefully.
