  1. Fair. But I wasn't at UT for the McWilliams era.
  2. Quality of female students walking though the south mall on a Spring day.
  3. Abbott is such a fucking loser.
  4. Sounds like something someone who's buried lots of bodies would say.
  5. Probably not much. I think that song has been a mainstay on the setlists for all of their tours going back to 1987.
  6. Yeah, we're in an age full of scams, so it's appropriate to be skeptical of a lot of disaster relief funds. I'll figure out how to donate in other ways, but I'm making it a habit to add a few bucks on the HEB bill every time I check out, when I've usually blown over those charitable contributions in the past. I'm confident that money (hopefully accumulating by thousands of others statewide doing the same at their HEBs) will be put to good use.
  7. The 70s soundtrack in the Guardians trilogy was almost a character itself. I can see why Gunn wanted to use an orchestral score for the most part, so it wouldn't seem like an extensive soundtrack was a schtick. I liked the subtle homage to John Williams' score.
  8. Would have posted this one. The song has been overplayed since its release. But when you see it live, like I did when the band opened with it in Boston in 2015, it's pretty fucking awesome.
  9. My senior year was okay. Ten wins, last SWC champions, a win at aggy, the first year of Ricky's record-breaking career, my first trip to New Orleans for the Sugar Bowl. But it was still Mackovic'd with an unacceptable tie against a shitty OU team after a huge lead at halftime, and a flat performance in the loss to Virginia Tech.
  10. That, and thinking about the photo of the automobile that was mostly buried in a riverbank, I suspect a lot of the missing are beneath the earth and will never be recovered.
  11. I think she knows that. But it's remarkable that we've heard the "160 missing" for several days, and numbers in the "missing" column have not been moving to the "deceased" column. In other words, it seems odd that they haven't recovered significantly more of those missing in the past few days.
  12. Yeah, but those Mackovic years.
  13. Maybe true. But a lot people like me didn't go to a public school they would consider rigorous, and I got a ton out of my college education. I also went to UT, which was dirt cheap in the 1990's, and I doubt that education would've been any better if I went to a private school or an out-of-state school and paid significantly more.
  14. Legitimate AI generation would have Elon throwing those kids in the water.
  15. I mean, Abbott's office could've just offered some bullshit exception to disclosure in the PIA, and the Texas Supreme Court would've bought it. Seems like a B-team PR move to claim withholding because some are "intimate and embarrassing."
  16. I think the pedophilia crusade, grounded in the batshit crazy QAnon movement, seems more like a weird fetish than virtue-based morality. It just that with the Epstein stuff, there's something to it.
  17. Move him to receiver!
  18. Oh, I don't think anything of significance is going to come of this, because we're not going to see any Epstein files with Trump's name on them. I just think it's amusing that this is the issue creating the most notable fissure in MAGA nation.
  19. The 2011 to 2013 and 2017 to 2019 drops were also bizarre. Those periods each began with a new defensive coordinator -- Manny Diaz and Todd Orlando -- who fielded stout and vastly-improved defenses in their first years, and then nosedived the following years. What was it? Recruiting? Failure to adjust after opposing offensive coordinators figured out their schemes?
