  1. Well, I watch and participate in it pretty regularly. UT-D for computer science, yes. Thier engineering wouldn’t get a second look at any place I’ve been in last nearly 20 years. BUT, plenty of LSU/Bama/UH engineers. Only place I’ve ever seen the city-university’s have success was Chevron. They liked to put one graduate from every school there is for some reason. Mediocre named school >> “standalone” city named university 9/10 times for gainful employment.
  2. I don’t disagree, they have it together. But employers aren’t treating UCLA the same as UC-whatever the fuck, fairly or not. Also, USNWR sees aggy pretty favorable, but seriously, they gave some flawed ways of coming to their rankings. My point is you can build UT-D (or any of the others) up for the next 20 years and it still isn’t going to be UT-Austin. Fair or not. It WILL be an improvement of what we have now. But you’re still going to fight the Ark/Bama/Miss etc drain. They’ll get hired faster than directional satellite of a good school.
  3. Having lived in a neighborhood who’s few nearby apartment complexes catered to and were soon overrun with the refugees, I’ll respectfully disagree. Luckily it was another poster here who owned the house, and took that fucking on his resell. There’s a whole lot of things that can go to shit before pointing to no appreciable increase in…murder.
  4. Ask Cali. Yeah they’re all great schools, and none of them hold the weight of their flagship.
  5. It’s happening in emails across many states, it appears.
  6. Re: feed bags. If it’s facing you, it typically pulls right to left. It doesn’t work in the other direction.
  7. I know exactly where they went - Houston resident.
  8. @YGIFS My wife shoots a 9mm HK P30. I have her run thru 50 or once a year, shooting a cactus patty at 20’. She’s accurate with it, and comfortable with how it functions, so I’ve never changed it. Not American made, but neither is the Glock (outside of the 42) https://gununiversity.com/hk-p30-review/
  9. Over simplistic? I’m assured here constantly that the decision isn’t difficult. And I don’t disagree.
  10. Nope. It’s going to be center D vs progressives. Hopefully this court has another good decade in it but doubt it.
  11. Lol at having so many “definitely not a Democrat, but will never pull lever for another Pub”.
  12. Our local academy has them all the time. Easier to find there than 16 for sure. Spent an hour earlier looking at SA but it’s still the same 3-4 I had looked up a few years ago. Maybe someday but still not my cup of tea.
  13. Yet not a single person in the thread has had it happen at their school. Weird.
  14. Lol fuck off. Enjoy your outrage tweets. fwd:fwd:fwd!!1!Book burning in Texas schools!!1!1!
  15. My daughter currently has the diary of Anne Frank checked out from her school library. From a middle school in aggyville.
  16. Yeah, the ammo isn’t cheap, but it’s not crippling either (hunting, clays…oof). 28 is where it’s at imo. Considerably cheaper ammo, 2x pellets, and still very light recoil. I built up a decent stash of it back when it was the only thing on the shelves. .410 will run you about 1.15/per if you buy in bulk.
  17. Nope. All O/Us - I’m a quail and clay shooter 95% of the time. I have a couple of childhood 870’s that haven’t been touched in years. There’s a Citori in there that handles 3.5’s for the rare late season goose/crane shoots. Have thought about getting a SA 20 in past, but never really cared for any. Guess I can fire that back up; never really been a fan though. Have handled all the normal players (except the Ethos) over the years.
  18. HI-10 cabaret was good for that. Yes, HI-10.
  19. Well, the pile of empty hulls wasn’t!! I’ve been downsizing over last few years but have had reoccuring issues in right shoulder for last 18 months, and that has sped it up. So I have to either learn to shoot left handed or work down. I have settled on a 28ga after borrowing one for some shoots last year. But haven’t found a way to sneak it past the wife…yet. Got a Rizzini sxs in mind. I have this old tomato stick .410 that an old friend used to keep in a barn for snakes. Ugly but it shoots pretty well. Been using it to teach the girls last few years. I used it last quail season and did ok. But 28 gets you a lot more pellets and shells are considerably cheaper.
  20. I’ve had probably ~5 pairs of the cheapos (2000’s) and close to a dozen classics thru the years (still have most). Not a single one belongs in any sentence with Justin. Are they worth $650? I’d rather have a pair of Beans than the lower end Luccheses. But without a single doubt, every single pair was better than any Justin, Ariat, and 80% of any Tony Lamas of last 20 years that I’ve worn. I can’t speak to Tecovas because lol.
  21. Also, lucchese are nice but people around here have soured on them it seems. I’m happy with the dozen or so pairs ive had over the years.
  22. Anderson Beans. Mid-quality/price. Mostly squared toe (comfortable on your toes)
