  1. I use murder dildo regularly now. Sincere thank you for that one.
  2. Meh. Some douche wants to call me a disingenuous pos cunt, he can have a nice reminder that at best we equal each other out. And let’s be honest, if he lives in TX, his vote doesn’t even count as much. So, in short, fuck him. I hope he thinks everyday about how awesome Texas is, and spends his time hoping we are turning purple, and that maybe someday, he’ll get to enjoy Texas, too. And during that time, I’ll continue cancelling that purple vote right the fuck out.
  3. This is what we get a lot of. But there’s great news! Around 1830 you can start your deliverables, and since you’re already at home, you can eat your supper and kiss the kids before bed in about 15 mins. Back to work until midnight, have that daily 0630 ops meeting you need to prepare for.
  4. Lulz. And our votes count the same. Womp. Womp.
  5. This is my favorite part about your place. Would give my left nut for that.
  6. This is how I remember Bolivar back to the late 90’s. No fucking way it could have gotten worse? We were heading back from July 4th once and they called in the Texas Rangers to meet the ferry when it landed. They took a few into custody at the landing, and not gently.
  7. Bringing home snapper to the wife is about 80% of the reason I’ve been able to keep the boat and maintain with open checkbook, even in years of non-use due to work, etc. They are not so different, when the surf is dead on, I’ve strung 10 in 10 casts before, sort of like snapper fishing.
  8. I concur. Also, let’s remind @trophthat I called dibs when she was picking out the current ride.
  9. Well you are legitimately 50:1 on me over last few years so, count those blessings.
  10. This was our nomenclature growing up. Would save and freeze them for offshore bait. They are great cut bait.
  11. Matagorda wasn’t. Bait everywhere, flat as could be. Green water about 100 yds too far out. Water was heavily stained, but not dirty. Coming in the green was reaching shore at 3 mile cut. Spooks, mirrolures, and touts; gafftops, gafftops, and gafftops. Should have took the boat out for some state snapper instead.
  12. Wouldn’t surprise me. And I know it’s funny because he’s short, but those are likely just “walking heels” because he said, need cowboys boots!! Someone working towards lifts would be better off with a thick crepe sole to help instead of just flat leathers.
  13. I didn’t want to go there, but had the same feeling. I’m going to a get together with a guy who’s done (added hot tub, steps) it today, and will ask.
  14. I now have to know your thoughts on this. You strike me as a man who has also realized, that if he raises his daughters like Gen X’s, they can take over the world.
  15. My neighbor got a quote to have their 1x1 tile replaced on top 2’ of hot tub; it was $4k. I would guess 80k or so, if you go cheap on your kitchen. That’s kind of a loaded question, same neighbor had >50k just in his kitchen/addition when they built it out.
  16. Yeah I think there are two now, but both are early to mid 50’s to get?
  17. I was 28. It’s fucking sucked, and mine was relatively minor.
  18. And as the plane crashed down, he thought, well isn’t this nice.
  19. Not surprising. The factions are worlds apart.
  20. I was just reminding the folks that like to flip off every post I make that all that anger is going to eat them up, and for no reason.
  21. Well, you know how I feel about open carry (I think). I also hate contrarian shitheads. I have gone back and forth with you on red flag stuff. I’ve never just deep sixed it. I think out of all the other proposed/existing laws, it needs the most attention in “getting right”. Being in a court ordered mental eval is a pretty easy layup on that front, I suppose.
  22. Don't answer if you don't feel like it (obviously), but where are you currently in your company hierarchy? Upper middle mgt? Mgt. on executive track? Young exec? I've always been in operations in O&G service industries. We don't "create" a product, but a result. There are ways to make things more efficient, grow, etc, but nothing like someone who produces a widget, then a different widget, then another. I have been in operations my entire career, and am now shifting towards the exec side of that. While $$$ has always been important, it was nothing compared to what I do now. Almost a 180* shift on importance between the quality of work being done vs the financial side of the business and it's role. I was always exposed to it, but never lived it. It's can definitely form the way you see the business.
